With one last match left, can T1 head to the LCK Summer playoffs as the fourth seed by taking the victory against FOX? Let’s see what we can expect from them heading into the series.

For T1 and FOX, this is the last match to round off their LCK summer regular splits. With both teams already qualified for the LCK summer playoffs, the pressure won’t be that high. Having said that, T1 is still fighting with KT. Luckily for them, T1 will be able to play the series knowing the results between KT and DK, so the stakes will be set only after that match ends (if KT loses to DK, T1 will automatically be locked in fourth).
Regardless, let’s see how FOX and T1 are looking ahead of the playoffs as all teams will be giving their everything to land a spot at Worlds 2024 later this year.
After a struggle during the mid part of the split, it looks like T1 have found their groove again in the last weeks. The general impression is that T1 still has high ceilings but their adaptation to the meta has not been among the best. If we take a closer look at their wins, most of the team compositions are run quite similar and most of them are comfort picks for the players. While this works great when you need to be able to lock in wins, it can backfire as soon as the opponents learn how to counter you in drafts.
It shouldn’t affect them in the series against FOX but it might be a decisive factor in playoffs when Bo5s come along. Unless the meta shifts back to something T1 knows how to play extremely well, they might struggle more than other teams in certain games.
FOX is a solid team that knows how to play from behind and usually prefers late-game team compositions to make up for the weaker early game: if they are able to withstand T1’s early pressure, we might have a series. Otherwise, I think T1 will likely take the win and lock in the #4 seed in playoffs.
