Best LoL Pro Players of All Time [Updated for 2025]

Here are the 10 best LoL players of all time. As the Hall of Fame just introduced its second inductee, which other 8 players might join them to be crowned legends?

The Top 10 Best LoL Pro Players of All Time

10. TheShy | Top Lane Legend

Lane: Top

World Champion: Yes (x1)

  • Worlds 2018 – iG

TheShy first made his name known as a solo queue player and streamer, and became a legend of the top lane. Famous for his carry champions, a Riven combo was even named after him.

After one year of unsuccessful pro play (by this list’s standards) in 2017, TheShy made Worlds in 2018 to immediately be an instrumental part in Korea’s downfall that year… and to cut short Europe’s hopes, winning China’s first ever Worlds title.

TheShy’s more recent results did not shine as bright (despite still making World finals in 2023), but he remains the iconic top lane carry above all others. Fearsome highs, and… funny… lows, he is also the reason you might have had to suffer from encounters with top lane Kalistas in your own solo queues!

9. JackeyLove | The Genius ADC

Lane: Bot (ADC)

World Champion: Yes (x1)

  • Worlds 2018 – iG

TheShy’s former teammate, JackeyLove, was also known as “one of the three genius ADCs of LPL”. Being on the more aggressive side of bot laners, JackeyLove has been the reason behind many of his teams’ wins, as well as showcasing some… more unfortunate performances.

But he’s currently once again dominating the LPL (with Top Esports), and is poised to get another good shot at international success. And who isn’t happy to see TheShy performing as one of the best League of Legends players of all time?

8. Caps | The Hope of Europe

Lane: Mid

World Champion: No

The only Western player to regularly make it to a list of best LoL players of all time, Caps is the hope of Europe and the West in general. And whether that’s enough to bring his team on par with the East depends on how well his teammates will play. As it stands, G2 still has a lot of work to do.

The most decorated European player (in regional titles), he’s expected to win the LEC no matter how the split goes, very often coming into shape when most needed. He’s also the only European player to make it to two World finals (despite not winning any game in them), and part of the only Western team to have won an international event.

7. Deft | The Underdog Winner

Lane: Bot (ADC)

World Champion: Yes (x1)

  • Worlds 2022 (DRX)

Deft’s story is possibly the longest build-up of the LoL esports scene. Ever since 2014 (Deft’s second year as a pro), he has been as close to the top as it gets, but never reaching the summit.

Considered a favourite with SSB at Worlds 2014, he was taken out in the semifinals by his sister team and eventual champion SSW. After winning MSI 2015, his team EDG entered Worlds as a favourite yet again, only to lose to FNC in the quarter finals. Similar story in 2016 – enter a favourite, have one of the biggest underperformances and lose in quarters. 2018, 2020, 2021, history repeats

Until 2022. With DRX, Deft made Worlds as Korea’s 4th seed after looking a clear step behind the other Korean teams regionally. And yet, they went on to beat GenG in the semis despite their opponent’s dominance in the LCK, and beat T1 in one of the most epic Worlds finals to date.

Deft’s long years of fighting for the title and falling short so close, culminating in a bracket run as a massive underdog, resulted in the entire world rooting for him and the incredible story that he was taking us through.

As of this year, Deft had to step away from League of Legends to serve his mandatory military service, though he vowed to come back to pro play upon returning.

6. BeryL | The Best Support

Lane: Bot (Support)

World Champion: Yes (x2)

  • Worlds 2020 (DWG)
  • Worlds 2022 (DRX)

Deft’s World Champion teammate and lane partner, BeryL is famous for… Genshin Impact. He has an unserious reputation among fans for the fact that he spends a lot of time playing non-League games and for being goofy overall, but behind the jokes, the results speak for themselves.

BeryL isn’t just a two-time World Champion, he’s one of two players who lifted the Summoner’s Cup on two different teams – and the only player to do it without being on T1. Even more interesting is that he joined the professional LoL scene in 2017 – way after some of the best LoL players of all time.

Unfortunately, BeryL hasn’t found success since claiming his latest title, although he’s still in the running for the rest of the 2025 season.

5. Canyon | The King of the Jungle

Lane: Jungle

World Champion: Yes (x1)

  • Worlds 2020 (DWG)

Known for always winning on farm and finding better jungle paths to outsmart his opponents, Canyon’s Nidalee and Lee Sin are unparalleled in pro play. What Canyon can do, no other player can even mirror, let alone outshine.

But it’s not just about stable, good farming – Canyon is also a playmaker coming in clutch when it’s needed the most, seeing the plays and pulling them off with frightening speed and precision. He can spend 30 seconds explaining the reasoning behind his best plays, his thought process behind the decisions, and then you’ll realise he had to think through all of this in the one-second window during which the play was available.

Canyon won the Summoner’s Cup in 2020 alongside BeryL, and is currently dominating the LCK once again, proving that he’s still one of the best League players of all time.

4. Uzi | The Crownless Prince

Lane: Bot (ADC)

World Champion: No

The Crownless King, Uzi, is often forgotten about, especially when we look at results. He’s never reached the finish line, unlike so many players not on that list, so why is he here?

The truth is, Uzi was the definition of an AD carry, always being an inevitable damage threat no matter how his opponents would set up against him.

Uzi will get ahead in farm. He’ll put pressure in lane to consistently be the one grabbing small advantage after small advantage, and was far ahead of everyone else in terms of understanding how to be efficient with map movements to keep getting further ahead. And it’s not some passive play, either – Uzi will thread the needle between most aggressive plays and death, and land on the good side of it almost 100% of the time.

In fact, attempting an outplay as Vayne has long been known as “an Uzi”.

Uzi has now retired for health reasons but he was rewarded for revolutionising the ADC role by becoming the second Hall of Fame inductee in LoL history!

3. Zeus | The God of the Top Lane

Lane: Top

World Champion: Yes (x2)

  • Worlds 2023 (T1)
  • Worlds 2024 (T1)

Zeus joined the pro scene and almost immediately found immense success. World finalist in 2022, Champion in 2023, Champion again in 2024. And achievements pulled off while playing for T1 are always undermined a bit because of how much T1 accomplishes (and having Faker). But T1 gets there because of its players, and it’s with Zeus that League of Legends’ best team was able to enter its latest and current reign of dominance.

There isn’t much to say about Zeus that wouldn’t just be covered by the fact that he’s regarded as one of the best LoL players of all time in the top lane. All of his favourite champions are carry top laners which helps him make flashier plays and thus, more recognition for his mechanical prowess.

At the end of the 2024 season, Zeus left T1 after 3 years of the team sticking with the exact same roster of players, and finding unmatched success with it. And now, it’s Hanwha Life that’s finding the most regional and international success – the team that he’s joined – while T1 has been having a rough year so far, attesting to his crucial contributions.

2. Bengi | The Vision Master

Lane: Jungle

World Champion: Yes (x3)

  • Worlds 2013 (SKT/T1)
  • Worlds 2015 (SKT/T1)
  • Worlds 2016 (SKT/T1)

Possibly the most undervalued player in history, half of Bengi’s achievements are overshadowed by the fact that they were shared with Faker. The only other player to have won Worlds three times, and always alongside Faker, he used to be seen as Faker’s sidekick. But just like with Zeus this year, it was when Bengi left SKT that the team’s first era of dominance came to an end in 2017.

Bengi was known for bringing the smartest view of the jungle role, being less of a carry and more of an extremely good facilitator instead. He would bring vision and he would use it. One of his most famous games was a carry performance on Nidalee in the 2016 World semifinals after his own coach forgot to ban her.

Bengi has now spent the past 7 years as a coach and once again started achieving great results, yet – as with all coaches – getting less recognition for it. Nonetheless, Bengi defined the jungle era in League of Legends and will always be one of the best LoL players of all time.

1. Faker | The GOAT

Lane: Mid

World Champion: Yes (x5)

  • Worlds 2013 (SKT/T1)
  • Worlds 2015 (SKT/T1)
  • Worlds 2016 (SKT/T1)
  • Worlds 2023 (T1)
  • Worlds 2024 (T1)

If you ask 100 people for their list of League’s 10 best players, you’ll get 100 different answers. All these criteria, whether you value peaks or consistency, recency or history, or all sorts of personal biases.

But if you wanted to know who is the best League of Legends player ever, the only correct answer would be Faker. And whenever there starts to be a debate over the question, he’s very quick to remind everyone why that spot is his (he also has some banger skins, such as the Worlds 2024 skins).

Mages, assassins, tanks, carries, supports, Master Yi – Faker has made a name for himself on them all, having more signature picks than some other players have champs in their whole pool. He’s been so dominant that getting a solo kill on him would be enough for casters to lose their minds.

Faker has made it to the top through 12 years of entire T1 rosters changing around him, filling any role any iteration of T1 would need him to, and he’s also found some of the most legendary plays in the game’s history.

For one final stat: Faker made it to 19 global events, and he’s reached at least the semifinals in every single one of them.

There is no other active player like Faker and there probably won’t be, at least in the foreseeable future.
