Fasten your seatbelts as new information for both Wild Rift and Arcane Season 2 has dropped! Earlier this week, Paul Bellezza, the executive producer for League of Legends, presented one of Riots’ frequent Dev updates. This update provided new information on what is coming to the game in Patch 5.3, along with the announcement of a new champion being added and, finally, a new Arcane Season 2 tease.

In Patch 5.3, Heimerdinger will be joining the Wild Rift family. Heimerdinger has been in League of Legends for many years. And now, our furry little scientist will be joining the cast as the latest LoL champion added to the game. To celebrate the occasion, fans were greeted with something special.

With anticipation building, fans were not ready for another teaser for the League of Legends animated series so early. Fans weren’t disappointed as we discovered Heimerdinger, exiled from the council, is now teaming up with Ekko. In the teaser, we see them sneaking their way through the academy halls.

Wild Rift Patch 5.3 – what to expect

When writing this article, the Wild Rift map is completely powered by Hextech. This is to celebrate the HexRift event that is exclusive to League of Legends Wild Rift. The developers have made it a task of making sure the game is not simply a port of the popular 5V5 MOBA, but more of a living and breathing community that is separate from the main game.

From the dev update, Paul Bellezza was firm in wanting to provide the fans with the complete Arcane experience, and while the Hextech map is currently online, there is more to come, like Heimerdinger being added to Wild Rift.

At the time of writing, Wild Rift Patch 5.3 has no official date. Considering 5.2 was recently released, players will likely have to wait a couple of more months before they can get their hands on Heimerdinger in LoL Wild Rift.
