Call of Duty: Mobile (CoD Mobile) is one of the most played first-person shooters on Android and iOS right now. The game was released back in 2019 and has since become a sensation on mobile devices. However, if you had set a name back in the day and are looking to change it now, here’s the complete guide on how to do that in CoD Mobile.

CoD Mobile does allow you to change your name, although you might have to spend some currency for that. There can be many reasons why a player might want to change their name, maybe they are just looking for a fresh moniker or hiding their identity.

How to change name in CoD Mobile in 2025

To change your name, you will need a rename card. Now, this rename card costs 500 COD Points, certainly an expensive value, making it tough to change your name.

Nonetheless, if you manage to get your hands on 500 CoD Points, here’s what you need to do to change your name:

  • Firstly, open CoD Mobile and log in to your ID.
  • In the main menu, click on your name at the top of the screen.
  • In the new screen that appears showing your profile, click on the second tab to go to Player Profile.
  • Here, you will be able to spot an edit button near your name.
  • Click on it and enter your new name. Then, press Change.
  • The game will prompt you to purchase a Rename Card for 500 CoD Points. Once it’s done, you will have a new name in CoD Mobile.

It is to be noted that you can only change your name in CoD Mobile every three days. There are no restrictions on how many times you can do so, though. As long as you have 500 CoD Points to spare, changing your name won’t be a hassle.

I cannot change my name even if I have rename change card and it says that my name is encrypted and cannot change. Why is that?! How do I change it? Where is the Customer support for CODM!!!
