MLBB MSC 2024 Playoffs: Falcons AP.Bren make it to finals as Liquid Echo denied glory
Liquid Echo, once champions of the world back during the M4, will see their drought for another international trophy extend after they were denied a grand finals spot at the MLBB MSC 2024 Playoffs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Triumphing over them were the fellow rivals from the Philippines, Falcons AP. Bren, who have become the first team in the Grand Finals.

This year’s MLBB MSC 2024 is a huge honor, as this is the first time the tournament is taking place outside of SEA and also features teams from around the world. The competition was called the MLBB SEA Cup before MOONTON decided earlier this year that rebranding it to the Mid-Season Cup to bring in more teams was a good choice. The tournament is taking place at the Esports World Cup 2024, with a humongous $3 million prize pool on the line.
Falcons AP.Bren are the first team in the MLBB MSC 2024 Finals
Liquid ECHO have been in great form throughout 2024, firstly winning the MPL Philippines to make it to the MLBB MSC. They won the MPL Philippines by beating Falcons AP.Bren 4-0 in a one-sided final. In Riyadh, the boys would have hoped for a similar outcome – but that didn’t happen.
Falcons AP.Bren started off strong, clutching the first two games, before handing a third close game to Liquid Echo. A reverse sweep has been rarely seen in MLBB esports history, especially in a BO5, and that held true in Saudi Arabia as well as Falcons absolutely demolished the team in Game 4. The team were able to close the game in just over 10 minutes, paving the way for a shocking exit for the Filipino champions.
The MLBB MSC 2024 has a grueling format as well, with a single-elimination bracket ensuring that no team is given a second chance.

Over on the other side of the bracket, Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants will face Singapore’s NIP Flash for the remaining Grand Finals spot. Fans can tune into the action live on the MLBB Esports YouTube channel to see who will prevail.
