The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 is set to be one of the biggest esports tournaments in the history of the mobile MOBA game. Earlier called the MLBB SEA Cup, the tournament was rebranded into the mid season cup as the game became a more global esports title.

The first-ever Mid Season Cup will be a part of the Esports World Cup 2024 and will have a staggering prize pool of $3 million on the line – with the winning team alone pocketing $1 million. Taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from June 28 to July 14, 23 teams are set to battle it out for the title of champions. Here’s everything you need to know about it:
What is the schedule for the MLBB MSC 2024?
The complete schedule for the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 is as follows:
- Wildcard Stage: June 28 to 30
- Group Stage: July 3 to 7
- Playoffs: July 10 to 14

Wildcard Stage
- Eight teams will compete in the Wildcard Stage.
- They will be split into two groups of four teams each as they compete in a best-of-one round-robin format to decide the group champion.
- The top teams from each group will play in the best-of-five decider for a single slot in the Group Stage.
Group Stage and Playoffs
- In the Group Stage, the winner of the Wildcard will meet 15 other teams from regional leagues. Here, they will be split into four groups and will compete in a round-robin best-of-two format.
- The top two from each group will advance to the MLBB MSC 2024 Playoffs.
- In case of any ties, there will be a best-of-one tiebreaker.
- Finally, the eight best teams will meet in the Playoffs to determine the champions.
- There will be a single elimination bracket with each match being a best-of-five except for the grand final, which will be a best-of-seven affair.
Teams and slot distribution
Earlier, the MSC only used to accommodate teams from the SEA region. Now, it has adopted a global format with 23 participants encompassing the entire globe.
