Fans in Indonesia waiting to catch their favorite MLBB esports teams after the MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will be disappointed. The highly anticipated Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) Mobile Challenge Finals – MLBB has been moved from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ESL didn’t reveal the exact reason for the change of venue, though. In its statement, the company said that it was being done due to circumstances outside of its control.

All people who bought the tickets for the event in Jakarta will receive a complete refund. The new venue for the event has been announced to be the Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will be open to a live audience for free from Aug. 2 to 4, which is the Playoffs of the SPS Mobile Challenge Finals.

The Mobile Challenge Finals for MLBB has a prize pool of $144,500 on the line and will happen from July 28 to Aug. 4. It features teams from across SEA, many of whom have been invited while others made their way through several open regional qualifiers.

Now, the best 12 teams are set to compete for the title. This will be the first major MLBB esports event after the culmination of the MLBB MSC 2024 and the Women’s Invitational (MWI) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The teams competing in the event are as follows:

• Bigetron Beta
• Omega Esports
• Liquid Echo

They will compete in the group stage, which will begin on July 28, one day after the MWI in Riyadh ends, and will happen until July 30. The teams will be divided into two even groups to compete in a single round-robin format.

The top three teams from each group will make it to the Playoffs from Aug. 2 to 4, which will happen in front of a live audience at the Quill City Mall.
