VALORANT Mobile is getting a beta test in China soon

It’s been a while since VALORANT Mobile was announced but the game has still not been released. With this, many fans have been wondering when the game might come out. While the game has been underdoing testing in China, there has been no communication on when it might come out. Now, new reports are emerging of a more open beta test, indicating the next step in the game’s developmental phase.

On certain Chinese websites, fans can register for an upcoming playtest in September. In this article, let’s see what fans can expect concerning VALORANT Mobile.

VALORANT Mobile Beta Test To Take Place in China in September

Since the first news about VALORANT Mobile was made public, many wondered when it would be released worldwide. Many had doubts about its release due to the approval issue that the game faced in China. Before VALORANT Mobile, Riot Games announced the launch of the first closed beta of VALORANT on the console. However, within a month, the game was available on consoles in certain regions worldwide. Despite this, however, there wasn’t any news about VALORANT Mobile and its release date.

This all changed during the VALORANT Champions 2024 when Riot Games spoke during the Media Day about VALORANT Mobile. Within this, Anna Donlon, the studio head for VALORANT, spoke about the game being in the early development phase but currently having no particular launch date.

On Sept. 6, however, news started spreading that there would be a VALORANT Mobile beta play test in China. Fans could register for this playtest using their WeChat ID and official Chinese citizenship ID.

Following the announcement of this beta, registrations for it filled within an hour on the Chinese app marketplace. On the social media platform X, accounts have already posted gameplay clips of the game using agents like Reyna and Brimstone. An interesting point to note is that fans can play the game at 120 FPS during the beta test. It will be interesting to note when VALORANT also launches a beta for the global audience. In the past, we have seen multiple games host an open beta before fully launching the game on mobile devices.

If we follow Riot Games’ pattern for VALORANT Console, the game will have multiple play tests followed by a public closed beta test and then will be launched.
