The VCT South America Playoffs, also known as the LATAM vs BR Playoffs are soon approaching. The event will only consist of a single series between the two 2nd place teams from the VCT Brazil and VCT LATAM Challengers 1. The winner will advance directly to the first VCT Masters event of the year in Reykjavik, earning their region a second slot in the event.

Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Leviathan – Predictions

While Ninjas in Pyjamas had once competed in the 2021 VCT Europe Masters 1, the team fell off sharply following the event. However, after signing a completely new roster at the beginning of 2022 and transferring to the Brazilian Valorant scene, the organization is looking promising once again.

Considering the newly formed roster have had such a strong early performance, Ninjas in Pyjamas is poised to become a power house in South America. Similarly, Leviathan fell under the radar in 2021, failing to find success despite qualifying for the VCT LAS Challengers 1 at the start of the year. The organization then opted to sign four members from the Australs lineup. With Australs already being one of the best teams in the LATAM scene, it was no surprise with Leviathan were able to rise up in 2022.

The Leviathan lineup have had proven success in the scene, and possess much more experience playing in the high stakes competitive environment. Leviathan had only narrowly missed out on being the top team in LATAM, falling to Kru Esports in an extremely close Bo5, two of which were overtime matches. On the other hand, while Ninjas in Pyjamas had performed strongly across most of the competition, they fell hard in the semifinals & finals against LOUD, losing 0-3 in both instances. Given Ninjas in Pyjamas have shown to falter against such dominant teams recently, Leviathan may hold an advantage over Ninjas in Pyjamas to qualify for Masters.

Keep in mind, both “regions” scrim and play extensively. This match may be extremely close or extremely one sided. In terms of Valorant odds, Leviathan are considered favorites, but i propose following your gut if you wish to against the grain.
