Rocket League just went free to play! As of September 23rd all you gotta do is download the game and start spinning. As a bonus, players who claim the game to their library between the 23rd of September and 23rd of October, will also receive a $10 voucher for the Epic Games Store. Additionally, once you launch the game for the first time, you’ll also be able to claim the Sun Ray Boost and Hot Rocks Trail.

Parallel to that, the most popular BR game Fortnite collabs with Rocket League, by way of some free rewards. Within the Rocket League Llama-Rama event, you’ll be able to earn rewards for both Fortnite and Rocket League as well.

Rocketing a la Llama

You’ll be able to claim some sweet loot for both of the Epic-store-based games starting today. Among the coolest things you can unlock from the Rocket League side of things, will be the popular Fortnite Battle Bus to play within the arena.

The whole event will be Llama-themed and launch parallel with its Season One pass. Though five years after the launch of the game, Rocket League is finally adapting a similar model to Fortnite when it comes to season pass. The gameplay won’t change however, the season pass and rewards systems will.

In the first season you’ll be able to unlock the new Harbinger car as well as plenty of cosmetics. You can buy the pass with credits, and if you unlock all the listed tiers, you’ll automatically get 600 credits for the next season pass. There are 70 rewards you’ll be able to unlock on the way.

Don’t forget, Season 1 is also bringing Competitive Tournaments. You can freely participate in all new 3v3 events regularly!

Fortnite rewards

The Rocket League event will run until October 2nd, so you’ll have just a few weeks to work your way up and claim all the possible rewards. For Fortnite, this will happen automatically when the event ends. Even if you don’t log in to collect all of your rewards, you will automatically find them in your Fortnite account at the end of the event. Beware that there may be a slight delay before the rewards show up in your account.

You will have to claim the Rocket League rewards though. You can do so after you’ve completed the Fortnite-style challenges that are part of the Llama Rama event. To claim your Rocket League reward after completing a challenge, you’ll need to go to the event page.

Finally, competitive Rocket League is heading into the “Fall” portion of the season. The RLCS X Season is about to bamboozle us with events across all four regions (EU, NA, OCE and SA). In the next ten days expect to watch a ton of Rocket League across all platforms.
