Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond are coming to FIFA 23 this week!

EA’s FIFA, one of the most played sports games in the world, is counting the days to meet its fans with its new game FIFA 23. Just like every year, millions of players can’t wait to build their squads on online servers and play FUT Ultimate Team.

Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond from Apple TV’s favorite series, will be featured in FIFA 23. Both the team and the manager will be playable in-game. In addition, players will be able to manage the AFC Richmond team with a different manager if they wish. Series creator and star Jason Sudeikis described this as a “dream come true”.

Of course not every player is excited for FUT in the new title of the series. For some, the Career Mode is even more important, especially figuring out the best team and FIFA formations. EA Sports hasn’t been innovating for this mode for a long time, but that’s changed in the last couple of years.

For the first time, FIFA 23 will allow players to play a new career mode with selected managers. The world’s greatest managers such as Klopp, Tuchel, and Guardiola will be selectable this year and players will be able to manage the careers of these great coaches. On top of this innovation, EA has made FIFA 23 even more appealing by introducing a brand new crossover.

Who and what is Ted Lasso?

Ted Lasso is an American sports comedy-drama television series developed by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly.

It is based on a character of the same name that Sudeikis first portrayed in a series of promos for NBC Sports’ coverage of the Premier League. The series follows Ted Lasso, an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English soccer team in an attempt by its owner to spite her ex-husband. Lasso tries to win over the skeptical English market with his folksy, optimistic demeanor while dealing with his inexperience in the sport.

Coach Beard, Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas, Sam Obisanya, Roy Kent and Isaac McAdoo will also be specially integrated into the game. Players will have the chance to place AFC Richmond in one of the playable leagues in Career Mode, such as the Premier League, and compete there.

FIFA 23 will be available worldwide on September 30th. Pre-order holders will be able to access the game on September 29.
