Can You Use Mouse and Keyboard on VALORANT Console?
The VALORANT console beta has been live for a few days. Players have been getting their hands on the popular tactical shooter made by Riot Games. VALORANT, since its release, has not officially supported the controller. Perhaps for good reason, considering the VALORANT console release date was on the horizon. The question is, can you use the mouse and keyboard on the console version of VALORANT? Stay tuned.

This is a warning for any console player looking to use mouse and keyboard for the VALORANT console: Don’t.
According to a report from James Carr, Riot Games’ anti-cheat software is already flagging players as cheaters. When writing this article, only the controller was supported for the VALORANT console.
This makes sense; the purpose of having VALORANT on the console is to offer the players a slightly different experience than those who play it on the PC. This could also be Riot looking to iron out the wrinkles before fully launching support for every gaming method.
This will surprise Xbox players, who already know Microsoft allows for keyboard and mouse usage on other titles. Minecraft is a good example since the game is fully crossplay. This allows players who are not fortunate enough to have a computer good enough to run certain titles the opportunity to have the same mouse and keyboard experience they would on any high-end PC.
Riot also adjusted how the aim movement works to support the console. If I had to guess logically, we wouldn’t see keyboard and mouse support for the VALORANT console. If we look at Riot’s mobile version of League of Legends, Wild Rift, this game does not support other methods such as controllers or keyboard and mouse extensions.
There is no confirmed end date for VALORANT’s console beta at the time of writing, so be sure to get in on the action while you can!
