The first team on our list won’t be a shocker to those following VALORANT Esports this year. It is G2 Esports. Last year, they qualified for VCT Americas 2024 after winning VCT Ascension Americas 2023. It was a year filled with many highs and lows for the organization. They managed to qualify for both VCT Masters Shanghai and VALORANT Champions 2024.

Sadly, in neither event, they could claim the trophy. They failed to win both VCT Americas Stage one and two last year, losing in the grand finals during both events.

This year, the organization has been different. They have gone undefeated leading up to VALORANT Masters Bangkok. An interesting point to note about the team is that they didn’t lose a single map during VCT Americas Kickoff until the grand finals. In the grand finals, they faced off against their old rivals, Sentinels. During this match, both teams did their best. Ultimately, G2 Esports won the tournament with a scoreline of 3-2 against Sentinels.

A standout player to watch out for from this explosive team is their primary initiator, Trent “trent” Cairns. He ended the tournament with a kill-to-death ratio of 1.42:1, which was the highest for any player who had played over 100 rounds.

The next team on our list to clear the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Swiss stage is EDward Gaming. The reigning VALORANT Champions winners have not forgotten their winning ways.

Last year, they went on an incredible run of dominance, winning each of the three events in the VCT China League. During the VALORANT Champions 2024, they begun in the group of death. That didn’t stop them from reaching the grand finals of the tournament. After an incredible match against Team Heretics, they lifted the VALORANT Champions 2024 Trophy.

This year, they didn’t start in the best way possible, losing to Trace Esports in the upper bracket of VCT China Kickoff. This meant that they were one game away from getting knocked out. Instead, they went on an incredible run of form, winning two matches on the map of Haven with a score of 13-0. In the grand final, they faced off against Trace Esports. In this match, they got their revenge by defeating them.

Two players within EDward Gaming to keep a close eye on during VALORANT Masters Bangkok. They are Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang and Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi. They are two of the best players in Asia for their mechanical game aim.

Team Vitality

The next team on our list is from the VCT EMEA League, and it is none other than Vitality. They are one of three VALORANT esports teams who are undefeated leading up to VALORANT Masters Bangkok. This year, the organization has gone on quite an exploration to find some of the best talents in the world. Vitality has signed the likes of VALORANT Masters winner, Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev and VALORANT Champions 2022 winner, Felipe “Less” de Loyola Basso.

During the VCT EMEA Kickoff, we got a first look at this roster, and they didn’t disappoint. They defeated the likes of Karmine Corp, FUT Esports, and Team Heretics to reach the Grand Finals.

In the Grand Final, they faced off against Team Liquid, a rivalry that has been present for years. Team Liquid won the first two maps in the series, just one map away from claiming the trophy. Sadly, it wasn’t a part of their destiny as Team Vitality completed the reverse sweep, winning the series 3-2.

While many would say Derke is the player to watch from this team, we would say the player to watch is Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel. During the grand finals of the VCT EMEA Kickoff, he played four different agents from different roles while getting the most kills in Team Vitality.

DRX: The Pacific team could make it to the VALORANT Masters Bangkok playoffs

The last team on our list to qualify for the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Playoffs stage is DRX. The Korean organization is one of the most popular organizations with VALORANT Esports.

Following a bad start to 2024, the organization made various changes, adding rookies like 0Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk and Kang “BeYN” Ha-bin. These changes help the team to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2024. During this event, they finished in 5th place, which was considered decent for a team with multiple rookies.

Leading upto the VALORANT Masters Bangkok, DRX has been undefeated, defeating the likes of T1 and Gen G during their run to win VCT Pacific Kickoff 2025.

Within this roster, there are two players that fans must keep an eye on: Song “HYUNMIN “ Hyun-min and No “free1ng” Ha-jun. Both these players are currently playing their rookie season within VCT.

HYUNMIN is an explosive Korean duelist who ended VCT Pacific with the second-highest ACS of 245.4—during VCT Pacific Kickoff, Free1ng only played Tejo in every map. He ended the event with a kill-to-death ratio of 1.24:1 during the event.
