WoW Best Dungeons – The Greatest World of Warcraft Dungeons
Since World of Warcraft has been up and running for almost 20 years, there have been quite a few expansions and even more dungeons with each expansion added to the game. Because of that, it can be very difficult to pick the best ones as everyone has their own opinion, but we will do our best.
Everyone has a different need for the WoW Best Dungeons list, which is why we are going to create a few different categories to satisfy every reader.

Best Dungeons in WoW From Each Expansion
Vanilla – Blackrock Depths
There should be no surprise that BRD is our favorite from the Vanilla expansion, as this dungeon is not only filled with numerous bosses, but it is one of the biggest dungeons in the game, even if it is released all the way in the beginning. Another thing that makes BRD so amazing is the fact that there is so much lore related to this dungeon, and it is also the entrance to Molten Core – the legendary WoW raid.
The Burning Crusade – Magister’s Terrace
We will be honest, picking out the best TBC dungeon was quite difficult, but in the end, we had to go with MGT, as the dungeon has one of our favorite villains of all time, Kael’thas Sunstrider. The dungeon requires players to use all of their tools to complete it on Heroic, it is a part of the final patch of TBC, which makes its gear absolutely amazing, and the aesthetics of the dungeon are just beautiful.
Wrath of the Lich King – Halls of Reflection
While a lot of people might disagree with HoR being our favorite dungeon due to its difficulty, the dungeon itself is amazing from the lore perspective. How could we not love a dungeon where the final boss is an event where you have to run away from the Lich King himself and barely make it out alive? This dungeon is too iconic compared to other WotLK dungeons.

Cataclysm – Deadmines
The reworked version of Deadmines is one of the best dungeons in the game. It not only keeps the spirit of Deadmines but also adds more interesting things to it, with the highlight being the final fight against Vanessa Vancleef, where you are put under a hallucinogen that requires you to navigate through deadly obstacles. We are really hoping that this dungeon gets an M+ version one day, even if the odds are slim.
Mists of Pandaria – Stormstout Brewery
One of the most fun and whacky dungeons in World of Warcraft has to be the Stormstout Brewery. You fight a mad hozen by riding barrels into him, use hammers to bonk rodents, and finish the dungeon off by fighting an ale monster; what more could you ask for from MoP?

Warlords of Draenor – Grimrail Depot
While we definitely love Cataclysm Deadmines, Grimrail Depot from WoD is definitely one of the best dungeons in the game, which is quite a surprise since it is from an expansion that a lot of people hate. The theme of the dungeon is not only amazing but so are the mechanics of boss fights, which are just some of the reasons why it is so loved.
Legion – Return to Karazhan
Picking Karazhan as the best Legion dungeon was quite an easy choice. Not only because Karazahn is one of the fan-favorite raids in TBC but also because it is the first mega-dungeon in the game. There are so many great things about this dungeon that we could write a whole article about it.
Battle for Azeroth – Operation: Mechagon
If there is something good that came out of BFA (we are joking, there are many good things), it is anything related to Mechagon. This has to be, by far, one of the most satisfying dungeons to complete. This was especially true during the expansion when doing it deathless would award you the Aerial Unit R-21/X mount, which allows you to cruise around the island without interruptions.
Shadowlands – De Other Side
There is nothing as good as re-experiencing some old fights, and while Shadowlands actually has quite a few dungeons that are really good, De Other Side has to be our favorite due to the nostalgia factor. Fighting Hakkar the Soulflayer, Manastorms, Dealer Xy’exa, and Mueh’Zala is just really satisfying.
Dragonflight – The Nokhud Offensive
Unlike most dungeons that are released lately, TNO is actually not that straightforward, and it allows players to have some sense of strategy on how they are going to take on the dungeon, and exploring it for the first time feels incredible due to the fact that it utilizes Dragonriding. We hope Blizzard learns from this one, as a lot of people love how it is designed.
WoW Best Dungeons For Leveling
When it comes to leveling, if you look at some of the speed runs out there, a lot of them will choose TBC as the expansion to level in, and the reason is because of the dungeons. The dungeons are not only insanely fast, but they give so much experience per hour, so they are definitely the WoW best dungeons for leveling by far.

WoW Best Dungeons For Rep Farming
Last but not least, there are three dungeons that are absolutely incredible for WoW reputation farming, which you should take advantage of instead of wasting your time grinding Tabard Rep in any other way. The dungeons that are in question are:
- The Botanica
- The Mechanar
- Magister’s Terrace
The reason why these are the best for the job is because they tend to net you the most reputation per run, and they are quite short dungeons as well. You will be looking to get at least 2.4k rep per run from Mechanar, about 2.9k rep for Magister’s Terrace, and the Botanica will give you up to 3.5k rep per clear if you kill everything.
