A Way Out CrossPlay – Is Cross Platform Escape Supported?
A Way Out is a co-op action-adventure game where you play as two inmates planning to escape prison and face challenges during this daring attempt. This game is co-op only, which means you and a friend must work together as a team to find a way out. Pun intended. Due to the necessity of having a plus one to play, you may ask, is A Way Out crossplay?
In this review, we’ll answer this question and spill the beans on all you need to know about A Way Out cross-platform support.

@ A Way Out
Is A Way Out Crossplay?
Unfortunately, A Way Out does not support crossplay. You must be on the same platform with your plus one to enjoy the game together.
It offers both online and local co-op modes, but for online co-op, you must own the game on the same platform along with your friend. Although game fans have pressured developers to support this feature, A Way Out cross platform support is not top of their list of priorities.

The lack of crossplay and cross-progression significantly limits the game’s quality of life for players who use multiple gaming systems and can be somewhat frustrating. If you’re looking for games with crossplay functionality, exploring some other crossplay games on Game Pass would be a great idea.
Lack of Crossplay is Disappointing
Hazelight Studios has not yet provided A Way Out cross platform support, much to the dismay of many game fans. They are a talented development studio and may have reasons for this, but it isn’t impossible as they have at least been able to add support for cross-progression to their other recent titles like It Takes Two.
If you have to find A Way Out, you must ensure that you’re both playing on the same platform, just like escaping the same prison together in-game. The irony.
