Call of Duty Server Status: Server Downtime or Connection Issues?
With a new CoD just coming out, the Call of Duty Server Status has mattered more than ever. Activision are often very up front about their server updates if they’re doing intentional maintenance to take the game offline for a bit. Be it Zombies or Multiplayer, you’ll need a server connection to play Call of Duty. If the servers even let you connect.

Is Call of Duty down right now or is it me?
If you’re playing on PC, you’ll be able to play the game through Xbox Game Pass or through the Blizzard Launcher. You’ll need to update your launcher. Thanks to the merge of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty has appeared on Blizzard Launcher ,and won’t be able to be updated until your launcher is up to date if that’s where you’re running it from.
With your game up to date, you should be able to log in and join a server. On the main menu screens, if there’s scheduled outages, they are often shown as banners to let you know why and when servers are offline. You’ll still be able to do single player content, such as story mode or solo Zombies runs. However Zombies scores won’t update to your leaderboard while you’re in an offline session.
Knowing the Call of Duty size, no-one really wants to uninstall and re-install, but that might be your best bet if none of the above have worked, and the servers are up.

Many will be looking for this at the same time if they’re struggling to connect to servers, which is always a good sign that the issue isn’t your fault. The official Call of Duty Twitter/X will give you the information you’ll need for planned outages. Unexpected outages are also tweeted about if they’re large enough.
