List of Popular Elden Ring Weapons for each class:
Vagabond
- Grafted Blade Greatsword: Vagabonds tend towards high Strength, with some secondary Faith and Dexterity, and amongst the most devastating of Colossal Swords is the Grafted Blade Greatsword.
Warrior
- Magma Blade and Wing of Astel: Warriors start with 2 Scimitars that they can dual wield to get extra damage and higher chances of status infliction. Using just a single one of these gives you access to the weapon skills. Look for Elden Ring weapons that inflict status effects on hit like the Magma Blade.
Hero
- “It Depends”: Hero builds can vary quite a bit. Strength + Intelligence, Dexterity or Arcane gives you quite a bit of variation. Intel builds can make use of high end great swords or axes. Arcane builds with high attack ratings like the Warped Axe can get good mileage without relying on status effects. For those that like Status, the Rotten weapons might be more your speed.
Bandit
- Blade of Calling: The blade of calling can be found in the world instead of being a drop. This Faith/Strength/Dexterity weapon does additional Holy damage and is a great dagger to rack up damage. For those looking for Rot or Blood loss, opt for the Scorpion’s Stinger or Reduvia. If you want to fight from afar, the Serpent Bow can also be found in world.
Astrologer
- Staff of the Guilty: These have a low drop rate until you reach the Guardian’s Garrison. Good for Blood Thorn Sorcery, but if that’s not what you’re aiming for – Rotten Crystal Staff inflicts Rot.

Prisoner
- Crystal Staff: If you want to spec into staves, the Crystal Staff is a good pick. For those leaning more on the thrusting weapons you start with, the Antsupr Rapier is a drop from a hostile NPC west of The Shaded Castle.
Confessor
- Giant’s Seal: Aim for hybrid casting with your Faith, or couple that that with strength for paladin weapons. Any great swords that scale with faith will work in a Paladin build.
Wretch
- Club: The most malleable class, starting with the humble club, there’s no recommended weapon for them as they can become anything.
Prophet
- Godslayer’s Seal: Enhances Godslayer incantations. If you want a spear, you can find the Crystal Spear in a chest at the Sellia Hideaway.
Samurai
- Rivers of Blood: The rivers of blood scales with Strength, Dex and Arcane, making it a great well rounded Katana that also inflicts Blood loss.
