Fortnite Chapter 7 Release Date: When Is It Coming Out?

Insiders suggest that Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1 will begin at roughly 5 PM ET on November 29, once the season live event concludes. When this happens, you can expect server downtime lasting approximately 3-4 hours—you’ll be able to log in and queue for matchmaking once the maintenance period is over.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Storyline: What Happens Next?

The Simpsons x Fortnite collaboration is expected to conclude with Donut storms and a cel-shaded aesthetic, as a new event will take its place on November 29 at 2 PM ET. This live event will lead the way for the Fortnite Chapter 7 storyline, featuring a Hollywood-style theme and a lingering mystery surrounding The Seven.

The Seven’s Return

The Seven features iconic characters like The Foundation, The Scientist, The Paradigm, and more—legendary heroes once believed to have closed their arc after freeing the Zero Point. Their disappearance at the end of Chapter 6 made it seem like their story was over, but recent Fortnite leaks say otherwise.

In particular, The Seven logo was spotted on Peely’s vest, and all advertisements for the new chapter call it “Chapter ‘Seven’” and not “7.”  Even The Seven’s bus shows up in the Fortnite x Tyler, the Creator trailer, reinforcing the idea that they’re gearing up for a cinematic comeback.

The Hollywood Theme

The Seven’s storyline in Fortnite may tie in directly with the island’s next theme. More specifically, leaks suggest that we may be looking at Hollywood-inspired locations. The island is expected to transform into a giant film set or a world based on various movie genres.

This new creative direction opens many doors for Fortnite, especially with sources predicting collaborations with films like Kill Bill, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, and more. However, whether these collabs are purely cosmetic or gameplay-based remains to be seen.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Map Changes & New Locations

Fortnite Chapter 7’s map changes may include names like “Stuntman’s Studio”, “Cineplex Towers,” and “Director’s Cut.” There are also certain parts of Chapter 6’s map that are destroyed or altered based on the live event. Who knows, maybe we’ll see a Dusty Depot in the form of a sci-fi fantasy spot?

Beyond that, the possibility of new locations dedicated to specific events and festivals is also heavily speculated, particularly in the context of upcoming artists and collaborations. Based on certain franchises, certain parts of the map will change or evolve throughout the seasons.

Fortnite Chapter 7 New Features, Weapons & Gameplay Changes

Self-revive and drivable Reboot Vans are perhaps the most hyped additions for Fortnite Chapter 7.

While it’s not yet clear how these mechanics will work, you will be able to revive yourself if you get knocked down, without having to rely on a teammate or NPC to help you get back on your feet. Certain leaks also suggest the return of a weapons crafting system.

Along with these core mechanics, you can also expect new Exotic weapons and items to be added to the new Chapter. Some of these will be obtainable from NPCs, while others will be part of the loot pool found in chests, special locations, vending machines, or unlockable from boss fights.

New Weapons & Movement Systems

Fortnite Chapter 7 is also expected to bring new movement mechanics and weapons. This will likely revamp the current meta and give rank-climbers a new learning curve to master. The upcoming crossovers will most likely replace OG weapons like the Striker AR and Pump Shotgun with something newer.

While mobility updates are not yet known, there’s a good chance that Hollywood-themed cosmetics will focus on new four-wheeler aesthetics. Between fast cars and bulky vans, players will be able to buy and customize their favorite vehicles.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Battle Pass

Leaks regarding the Fortnite Chapter 7 Battle Pass are already taking shape. Credible sources suggest archetypes like “Stunt Double,” “Diva,” and “Hard-boiled Detective” as part of the changes.

In addition, crossovers and Sidekicks will also add several cosmetic options to the Item Shop and Bonus Rewards, plus a special Victory Royale glider when you win a match for the first time.

How To Prepare For Fortnite Chapter 7

Before the new Chapter arrives, we suggest claiming every item from any passes you have available. Also, make sure that you’ve completed any remaining Quests for the season and earned the extra XP.

Finally, make sure your system has enough storage space for the new update. Usually, you may require 30-40 GB for a fresh season of any Chapter, and the servers may take a little while before matchmaking can take place.
