How to Copy Crosshairs in VALORANT

Since it launched, VALORANT has allowed players to get creative with their crosshairs in the game. It’s a mechanic designed to give players freedom over the little icon in the centre of the screen that they use to aim, and it works in the same way as Counter-Strike’s crosshair feature. Sometimes, you might be playing VALORANT and you’ll see someone with a much more impressive crosshair than yours, so what’s the next step? Here’s how to copy crosshairs in VALORANT, in case you really want to mimic that other player.

There’s something special about a custom VALORANT crosshair that you design yourself. After all, there’s a lot you can do to it – you can widen it, make it thicker or thinner, change the iconography, the colour scheme… You can put your stamp on the game with it. However, if you want to learn how to copy someone’s crosshair in VALORANT, look no further than this guide. We’ll teach you all you need to know.

How To Copy Crosshairs in VALORANT – Simplified

If you’re trying to learn how to copy someone’s crosshair in VALORANT, we’ve got good news – there’s a very simple way you can do it. It’s a brilliant feature that Riot Games has written in and made it as accessible as possible, so if you want to perhaps link up with your friend and have the same funny VALORANT crosshair, you can do so with ease. It’s worth stressing that this feature has only been a thing since August 2022, despite that game having been released way back in 2020.

Here’s how to copy crosshairs in VALORANT.

1. Find The VALORANT Crosshairs of your Dreams

If you’re spectating someone after having died in VALORANT, you can copy their crosshairs with a few presses of a button. Firstly, you’ll want to navigate to that player in Spectator Mode (so you must be dead first). Once you’ve found them, open up the in-game chat and type in a very simple command – ‘/cc’. Alternatively, you can type ‘/crosshair copy’, but why waste time with all those extra characters, right? Now, that command has just enabled you to copy the code that unlocks that player’s crosshairs.

Note: You’ll need an empty slot in your Crosshair Profiles in the game’s settings. You can store up to 15 crosshairs in VALORANT, and if you want to use the one you’ve copied from another player, you’ll need to clear out some space. In the first place, the code won’t successfully be imported unless you already have a free slot. It’s one of the only limitations of this feature.

2. Equip That VALORANT Crosshair and Live Life

Now that you’ve successfully learned how to copy crosshairs in VALORANT, it’s time to put them to use. For this next step, you’ll need to navigate to the game’s settings – specifically the ‘Crosshair’ tab. From there, navigate to ‘Crosshair Profile’, check your ‘Imported Profiles’, and you’ll notice (if you had a free space, that is) that there’s a listing that reads ‘Imported Crosshair’, followed by a timestamp. That’s the crosshair that you just copied in the game!

At this point, you can rename and edit the crosshair if you want to, but given you came here to learn how to copy crosshairs in VALORANT, we can’t see why you’d want to suddenly change it.

But What About Importing VALORANT Crosshairs?

There’s another way to copy someone’s crosshair in VALORANT, but it requires them to give up the goods directly to you. By doing it this way, it doesn’t matter if you’re not in a game with them, but you will need them to do a little work. It’s ideal for peer-to-peer swaps, but it might be harder if you’re trying to get the crosshairs of one of the best VALORANT players in the world or something.

In the Crosshair Profile portion of the Crosshair settings menu, you’ll see an option to ‘Import Profile’. On this tab, you’ll be able to paste in a code that looks like a line of numbers, letters, and semi-colons – it doesn’t matter if you don’t understand it, just so long as VALORANT does.

Once you’ve got your exported crosshair code from another player – or a site like Esports.net – you can import that profile, save it as your crosshair, and start using it in-game immediately. Similarly, if you want to export your crosshair, you can do so at the press of a button in the same section of the settings menu – it’s easy!
