How to play PBE in League of Legends
Wondering how to play PBE (Public Beta Environment) in League of Legends? – You came to the right place.
The Public Beta Environment is Riot Games’ sandbox for League of Legends. This server is not accessible to everyone, and you must sign up to gain access. In the PBE, Riot will test new champions, buffs and nerfs coming to the newest patch, reveal the latest skin lines, and more.

Unfortunately, the server is only located in North America. Players in other regions can get access, but they will have to deal with the high ping issues that come with it.
League of Legends PBE Sign-Up
Before you consider signing up for a PBE account, you must ensure you are eligible for one. The PBE account is linked to your main account, and to gain access, you must demonstrate excellent behavior on your main account. To be eligible, you must ensure your account is not currently banned or restricted and is Honor Level 3. This will tell Riot you are well-behaved and will not ruin the PBE experience for other players.
That said, here’s how you can play on the PBE server in League of Legends:
- Head on over to the PBE signup page.
- Link your Riot account to your new PBE account.
- Download the PBE client.
- Login to your PBE account once you have downloaded the PBE client.

The PBE is a great way for players to learn the new patch beforehand. Sometimes, a patch can completely change how the meta is played. One minute, lethality ADCs are the meta; the next, it is critical chance hyper carries running the games.
Keeping up with the PBE is essential, because you get a week’s worth of practice before the patch hits the live servers.
