Are Overwatch 2 Servers down or is it me?

With so many games on the roster, its really easy to figure out whether the server status problems you’re having are specific to Overwatch 2, or whether its for the whole cast of Blizzard classics.

If you can’t connect to Overwatch 2 because of server outage, try checking other Blizzard titles, like Diablo 4 server status. If you connect there, then your issues are likely to the Overwatch server.

Sometimes instead of forcing the update that your game needs, your game will say its good to play, when it really isn’t. Check and see if your Battle.net has a pending update, as there will be times where updates won’t show until Battle.net is on its latest version.

If you get the “Game server connection failed… retrying” error, it’s most likely a connection issue on your end.

Updating might fix your problem, either to the launcher or the game itself. To check for official updates on both console and PC servers, Blizzard’s Customer Support is a great place to go. Additionally, in game, if there’s server outages the game is very quick to let you know. Be that intended maintenance times, or prolonged off periods outside of scheduling. If other Blizzard titles are struggling to work for you, check out some other titles from other launchers, like Epic Games.
