What are routes in Pokemon GO?
As part of their Party Play feature to incentivise playing with friends, Niantic introduced Routes. Pokemon GO Routes are set travel paths that trainers can take to get additional items while playing such as Zygarde Cells. These routes can be set by Niantic and experienced players. These routes often have you travel between notable local landmarks PokéStop and Gyms.
How do you create Routes in Pokemon GO?
When at a PokéStop or Gym, you can select it as the starting point for your Route. To find the Route tab, check the menu you would use to look at the Nearby Pokemon widget. You can then set a Route end point as another PokéStop or Gym. At every stop/gym you want to add to the route, press “Record” to add a waypoint until you reach your end point.
Players are given the ability to submit a maximum of 4 routes per week. Even if all 4 get denied, you will have to wait until the next week to submit new routes.
How do I know if my Route is approved?
Players can check the status of their submitted Routes by clicking their Avatar and checking the Routes section.
