Team Spirit (#1)

During the offseason, Team Spirit benched their IGL Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, while Ivan “zweih” Gogin left to join PARIVISION. However, this move was part of a strategic decision to facilitate the return of Boris “magixx” Vorobyev and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia to the lineup.

In their first outing since the roster changes, Team Spirit showed utter dominance at the online Closed Qualifier, beating both SINNERS Esports and Inner Circle with 2–0 scorelines, as their opponents could muster little resistance.

From their initial two matches, it’s clear that zont1x and magixx are performing above expectations, and syncing up perfectly with superstar Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.

Pre-event outright odds of 4.75 (+375) implied a 21.05% chance that Team Spirit would lift the trophy. The defending champions, however, might have been undervalued. That’s why we have Team Spirit as the #1 pick to go all the way as one of the best CS2 teams in the world.

Team Spirit roster

  • Danil “donk” Kryshkovets
  • Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov
  • Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich
  • Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia
  • Boris “magixx” Vorobyev (IGL)
  • Sergey “hally” Shavayev (Coach)

Team Vitality (#2)

Boasting nine top-tier trophies in 2025, including both the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the StarLadder Budapest Major, there’s no denying that we are in the Team Vitality era

With the best CS2 player in the world, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, leading the charge with his trusty AWP, it’s tough to imagine a world where Team Vitality (#2 on the VRS) doesn’t make it to the Grand Final of nearly any event they enter.

During the Closed Qualifier, Team Vitality smashed Virtus.pro and beat EYEBALLERS 2–0. However, in the latter match, underdogs EYEBALLERS nearly pulled off the upset on Anubis, with Team Vitality requiring overtime to seal the deal.

Pre-event odds of 2.75 (+175) suggested that Team Vitality is the favorite, with a 36.36% chance of lifting the trophy.

Team Vitality roster

  • Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
  • Robin “ropz” Kool
  • William “mezii” Merriman
  • Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
  • Dan “apEX” Madesclaire (IGL)
  • Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam (Coach)

Team Falcons (#3)

There’s a lingering cloud hanging over Team Falcons, who, on paper, have all the tools to secure a podium finish. The superteam is stacked with enough talent to reach the final of almost any event. Yet, they only managed to lift one trophy last year.

Pre-event odds of 4.00 (+300) suggested that Team Falcons had a 25.00% chance to lift the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 1 trophy. The #3-ranked team on the VRS showed solid form in the Closed Qualifier, beating both ECSTATIC and Monte with 2–0 scorelines.

That said, Team Falcons will be without rifling prodigy Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin amid unresolved visa issues, with academy player Matej “NucleonZ” Trajkoski stepping in as a stand-in. Even so, we predict Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will click heads and help propel Team Falcons to a podium finish.

Team Falcons roster

  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
  • René “TeSeS” Madsen
  • Matej “NucleonZ” Trajkoski
  • Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski (IGL)
  • Danny “zonic” Sørensen (Coach)

FURIA (#4)

At the Closed Qualifier, FURIA (ranked #1 on the VRS) got off to a strong start, beating 9INE 2–0. While the win in the first round was convincing, the match against FUT Esports to punch their ticket to Malta was far from perfect.

FURIA won Anubis 13–10, but FUT responded with a convincing 13–5 win on Overpass. On the deciding map, Dust2, it was FUT who pulled ahead slightly (7–5) in the first half. However, FURIA managed a narrow comeback, winning the map 13–11 and series 2–1.

Although it is highly entertaining to watch Danil “molodoy” Golubenko decimate opponents, there’s a seed of doubt about FURIA’s current form. Still, we’ve chosen FURIA above PARIVISION and Team Liquid as our #4 pick, with the condition that they’ll shine on LAN.

If FURIA can bounce back in Malta, there’s no reason to doubt that Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo can lead his team through the Quarterfinals for a 4th-place finish. This is backed by pre-event outright odds of 3.25 (+225), which indicate a 30.77% chance that FURIA can win it all.

FURIA roster

  • Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato
  • Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis
  • Yuri “yuurih” Boian
  • Danil “molodoy” Golubenko
  • Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo (IGL)
  • Sidnei “sidde” Macedo (Coach)

PARIVISION (#5)

Ranked #14 on the VRS, PARIVISION impressed in the Closed Qualifier, sending ENCE packing 2–0 after triple overtime on the second map of the series. The team then proceeded to dismantle Astralis in a clean 2–0 to claim a spot in the LAN finals.

The difference-maker here could be ex-Team Spirit player Ivan “zweih” Gogin, who’s shown tremendous form in the Closed Qualifier. Pre-event outright odds of 41.00 (+4000) indicate there’s a 2.44% chance that PARIVISION could win BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 1 Finals.

PARIVISION roster

  • Emil “nota” Moskvitin
  • Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy
  • Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov
  • Ivan “zweih” Gogin
  • Dzhami “Jame” Ali (IGL)
  • Dastan “dastan” Aqbaev (Coach)

Team Liquid (#6)

In the Closed Qualifier, Team Liquid narrowly beat NIP 2–1 in the first round and made a magnificent 2–1 reverse-sweep comeback against Gentle Mates in the second round to punch their ticket to Malta.

As the #11-ranked team in the VRS, the pre-event outright winner odds were 26.00 (+2500), implying a 3.85% chance that Team Liquid would lift the trophy. If the squad can keep their momentum up, there’s a chance they’ll make it past the Quarterfinals.

Team Liquid roster

  • Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak
  • Keith “NAF” Markovic
  • Guy “NertZ” Iluz
  • Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
  • Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek (IGL)
  • Viktor “flashie” Tamás Bea (Coach)

GamerLegion (#7)

In the Closed Qualifier, GamerLegion definitely punched above their weight. The squad, led by ex-G2 Esports player Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, managed to reverse-sweep Passion UA 2–1 in the first round and sent Turkish powerhouse Aurora Gaming packing with a 2–1 win.

Ranked #20 on the VRS, the pre-event outright odds of 101.00 (+10000) weren’t in GamerLegion’s favor, suggesting a mere 0.99% chance of lifting the trophy.

GamerLegion roster

  • Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson
  • Oldřich “PR” Nový
  • Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
  • Milan “hypex” Polowiec
  • Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski (IGL)
  • Adrian “imd” Pieper (Coach)

HEROIC (#8)

At the bottom of the pack is HEROIC. While the side has the same 101.00 (+10000) odds and 0.99% implied chance of winning, we’ve given GamerLegion the slight edge due to their tougher opponents in the Closed Qualifier.

Having said that, HEROIC did impress after taking down underdogs Friendly Campers in the first round with a convincing 2–0 win, and beat Brazilian squad paiN Gaming in the second round with another 2–0 score to claim a spot in Malta.

HEROIC roster

  • Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç
  • Linus “nilo” Bergman
  • Älımjan “Alkaren” Bıtımbai (On Loan)
  • Tim “susp” Ångström
  • Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard (IGL)
  • Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo (Coach)
