What are the storylines to follow?
There are many interesting storylines in this year’s CRL World Finals. However, two of the most interesting involve Mohamed Light and Pedro.
Firstly, let’s start with Mohamed Light, one of the most decorated players. Aged just 20, the Egyptian has been competing professionally in Clash Royale tournaments since he was just 16 years old.
The player came second in the 2021 World Finals but found redemption a year later as he became the world champion. Therefore, he was, without a doubt, one of the favorites going into the 2023 World Finals. However, the defending world champion got knocked to the lower bracket in his first match, before being eliminated at a lowly 7th-8th place.

Nonetheless, he has been in hot form in 2024, winning several CRL seasons and community tournaments. Mohamed Light is in Finland only for one thing – and that is reclaiming his throne. There’s a lot that stands in his way, including the immensely talented Brazilian – Pedro.
Pedro was the runner-up in the 2023 World Finals and has made it to Finland after placing second in the Season 3 CRL 2024. However, Mohamed Light, who had already qualified, was ahead of him so he earned the ticket to the World Finals. While the player has had a mediocre season overall, his antics in the 2023 World Finals remind everyone why he isn’t to be dismissed.
What is the format of the CRL World Finals 2024?
- The tournament features a simple double-elimination bracket to determine the winner. All matches will be played in a best-of-three duel format.
- Additionally, if the lower bracket final winner gets the victory in the Grand Finals, a bracket reset will occur with the grand finals happening again in a best-of-three format to crown the champion.
