The first international esports tournament of 2025 for Honor of Kings is here. Top teams from around the world are set to descend into the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 – 2025 for a share of the $300,000 prize pool. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament.

The Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 will happen in Manila, the Philippines, marking the first edition of the tournament in the Southeast Asian country. It’s taking place from Feb. 21 to March 1.

The teams have made it to the tournament through different regional qualifiers across the world. We have compiled their list with the region they are set to represent:

What is the format of the tournament?

The Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 features an intense format split between the group stage and the knockout. Additionally, adding more spice to the competition, the tournament is set to utilize the Global Ban Pick rule for all stages.

Group Stage

  • The 12 teams will be split into four groups of 3 teams each.
  • Here, they will compete in a single round-robin best-of-five format with the top two advancing to the Knockout Stage.

Knockout Stage

  • The 8 teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket.
  • The teams from the same group won’t be drawn against each other.
  • All matches in the Knockout Stage will be a best-of-seven with the last game following the Ultimate Battle rules. According to this, the team, along with the coach will need to decide their lineup within 3 minutes when playing the last game.

Prize Pool Split

The $300,000 prize pool will be split as follows:

  • First place: $100,000
  • Second place: $50,000
  • Third and fourth place: $25,000 each
  • Fifth to eighth place: $15,000 each
  • Ninth to 12th place: $10,000 each
