The first-ever Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason is set to happen at the Esports World Cup 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from Aug. 1 to 4. 12 teams from around the world are set to battle it out for the title and the humongous $3 million prize pool. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament.
This likely won’t be the first time the mid-season tournament for Honor of Kings happens in Riyadh. The game’s publisher, Level Infinite has announced a three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation. Additionally, there is a lot at stake in the event this year, as the top teams will advance to the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) 2024.

Teams have made it into the event through a series of regional tournaments. Eight teams have made it through the Honor of Kings Invitational in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year. The Chinese team, called the KPL Dream Team, comprises some star athletes from the King Pro League (KPL), the biggest league for Honor of Kings in China.
The event has been split into two stages: the group stage and the Playoffs. While the Group Stage will be on Aug. 1 and 2, the Playoffs are set to descend on Aug. 3 and 4.
