Mecha BREAK Invitational Analysis and Predictions
It’s tough to analyze the inaugural event for any game. Many of the players for each team have backgrounds in other games, such as Overwatch and VALORANT. A few players from Japanese teams have experience with similar games, such as Gundam Vs., but for many, there’s not a real analog for the game’s experience.
The Global Storm Open Beta started on Sunday, Feb. 23, and so players have around two weeks to familiarize themselves with the game. Some players also had access to the earlier Open Beta.
The deciding factor will likely be team coordination over traditional skill. Many of the players in the NA teams have collegiate experience, which is a step away from full pro play. Still, organized play experience is always valuable.
As a result, with this limited information, we’d be hard pressed to make any predictions, other than it’s going to be a fascinating tournament.
