NetEase Esports X Tournaments
The NetEase Esports X Tournaments are one of the biggest events for competitive gaming. The series is due to kick-off for its Autumn event soon, with major tournaments for Overwatch and StarCraft 2. This series will begin to the 7th November and promises to be one of the most exciting NetEase events yet.
What is the NetEase Esports X Tournaments?
The NetEase tournaments are a collaboration between Blizzard and the Chinese games publisher NetEase. Blizzard has licensed its games to the publishers for Chinese distribution since 2008. The license now covers all active franchises, such as World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch. This collaboration brings the games into China, an increasingly big market for Esports developers. NetEase Esports is an organization that oversees Esports events for these games in these regions.
This makes the NetEase Esports X tournament one of the biggest events in that region, which is becoming increasingly prominent in Esports globally. The Chinese ran Esports programs for these titles have become pretty major. The NetEase league for the Blizzard game Heroes of the Storm is now the only ongoing league for the game. The company is also building a $710 million Esports stadium and park for their events. All of this makes their NetEase Esports X Tournaments important events, despite the ongoing problems of Chinese involvement in professional Overwatch.
While both games have other esports tournaments, the NetEase Esports events are still big occasions on the competitive calendar.
What is The Format of the NetEase Esports X Tournament?
