PGL Wallachia Season 3 Tournament Format
What sets the PGL Wallachia series apart from ESL’s DreamLeague S24 or the BLAST Slam 2 is its one modified swiss-system for its group stage games. All sixteen teams will play best-of-three matches, where top-eight advances to Playoffs, while remaining teams are eliminated.
This makes for a very intense setting for teams to deliver their best performance as early as the group stage. Since only the top eight teams will get to advance further. In the playoffs, the eight teams have to push themselves even further as they have to rely on new drafts and strategies to outwit opponents that are already familiar with their previous antics.
Best-of-three matches in a double-elimination bracket are the way to go at PGL Wallachia Season 3, letting us truly see each team’s best skills. As the Playoffs narrows down to its final day, a best-of-five grand final marks the decisive battle.
