The PUBG Mobile Challengers League – Southeast Asia (PMCL SEA) Summer 2025 is set to take place from May 28 to June 15. Teams from across the region will compete over three weeks to stand a chance of qualifying for the upcoming PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 (PMWC).

Who are the teams in the PMCL SEA Summer 2025?

The PMCL SEA Summer 2025 features a total of 20 teams from various countries in Southeast Asia. These include countries such as the Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
Each team has qualified for this event through their regional PUBG Mobile National Championship. These tournaments are an integral part of the PUBG Mobile Esports Roadmap. The top teams during PUBG Mobile Challengers League – Southeast Asia Spring phase will also receive a spot in this event.

What is the format Of The PMCL SEA 2025?

The schedule for the PMCL SEA Summer 2025 is as follows:
- League Stage: May 28 to June 8
- Grand Finals: June 13 to June 15
The League stage of the event will be divided into two phases: the Group Stage and the Super Weekend. The group stage will be played from Wednesday to Friday in both weeks 1 and 2. During this, the 20 teams will be divided into five groups of 4. There will be a total of 18 matches played across 3 days. The top 16 groups from the group stage will qualify for the Super Weekend in the League stage.
The super weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday of weeks 1 and 2. All 16 teams will play six matches on the first day of the week. Following this, a match point limit will be set. On Day 2, teams will play in the Smash Rule. In this a team has to cross the match point limit and secure a Chicken Dinner to become the champion of the week.
Teams can play a maximum of 8 matches to secure this. If they fail to get the chicken dinner after reaching the match point, then the team with the highest points will become the champions. The champion will receive the higher amount of league rank points. After two weeks of the league stage, the top 16 teams with the highest league ranking points will qualify for the Grand Final.
The Grand Final will take place on June 13. Based on their league rank points, teams will be given some headstart points. There will be six matches played on each day. The Smash Rule will be applied on the final day of the grand final.

What is at stake in the PMCL SEA Summer 2025?
Besides the bragging rights, there is a prize pool of $40,000 at stake in the PMCL SEA 2025. Furthermore, the champion of this event will secure a spot in the upcoming PMWC 2025. The PMWC will happen at the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia later this year. The tournament has a prize pool of $3 million this year.
