What is the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2025 Format?
The Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2025 consists of the 27 best teams in the world, all earning qualification for the event through various events such as the Aeos Cup, ACL, and Final Stretch. The event consists of two stages, the Group Stage, and the Playoffs. In the Group Stage, the 27 teams will be divided into groups of 8 groups, some consisting of four teams, some of three teams. The teams will compete in a single round-robin, every series will be a best-of-three with the top two teams qualifying for the Playoffs.
The remaining teams will then compete in a single-elimination bracket. This means that when you have been defeated, you are eliminated from the tournament, there are no second chances in this tournament, further highlighting the stakes that are at play here. The semi-finals and grand-finals will both be a best-of-five. The grand-final will be played on day three, while the rest on day two.
