All VALORANT Champions Winners By Year

Acend (2021)

Acend’s victory run in Berlin began with the team winning the first-ever Champions Tour Europe Stage 1: Masters tournament. They rode that momentum into VALORANT Champions 2021, where they appeared to be in top form, dropping only a single map on their way to the Grand Finals.

They defeated Team Liquid 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Semifinals before taking down Gambit Esports 3-2 in what was one of the tensest Grand Finals. At first, Gambit seemed to have control of map four, but Acend clawed back with a dramatic overtime win to force a decider and swing momentum in their favor.

Mehmet “cNed” İpek delivered standout Operator work with clutch Yoru/Jett plays to post a 208 ACS and 15 first bloods. In the Finals, both starxo and zeek rose to the occasion, delivering critical frags and trades. Though the team has since disbanded, Acend will always hold the honor of being the first-ever VALORANT Champion.

Acend roster at VALORANT Champions 2021:

  • Mehmet Yağız “cNed” İpek
  • Vladyslav “Kiles” Shvets
  • Patryk “starxo” Kopczyński
  • Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt
  • Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi

LOUD (2022)

LOUD’s VALORANT Champions 2022 run in Istanbul was powered by nothing but pure Brazilian flair: aggressive entries, fast rotations, and explosive mid-round plays. All year long, they’d also been locked up in a heated rivalry with OpTic Gaming, arguably the strongest team during the Chamber meta.

After finishing second to OpTic at Masters Reykjavik, LOUD faced them again during the Champions Group Stage. Though they fell short, they still qualified as the second seed. In the Playoffs, LOUD swept both their opening games, setting up an Upper Bracket Final against OpTic—this time flipping the script with a 2-0 victory.

The VALORANT Champions 2022 Grand Final marked the fifth time LOUD and OpTic would clash, with the North American side holding a 3-1 edge. However, after a dominant Upper Bracket run, LOUD had steam to spare. Armed with a double map ban, they struck first on Ascent after a tense overtime win.

The teams traded maps before LOUD took charge, posting a flawless attacking half to secure a 3-1 victory. There were many standout moments. Aspas repeatedly cracked open sites with entries and stifled retakes with aggressive defense, while Less put on numbers with Chamber on Haven.

LOUD roster at VALORANT Champions 2022:

  • Erick “aspas” Santos
  • Bryan “pANcada” Luna
  • Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi
  • Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro
  • Felipe “Less” Basso

Evil Geniuses (2023)

Before their VALORANT Champions 2023 victory, EG endured a turbulent year, suffering a humiliating 13-0 loss to LOUD at VCT Americas and heavy criticism online. However, coach Christine “potter” Chi had made one major change: she added rookie Max “Demon1” Mazanov to the roster.

Despite his potential, EG’s chances at Champions depended on MIBR (playing with their assistant coach as a substitute) defeating 100 Thieves. And somehow, they did it. EG might have squeaked into Champions, but Demon1 quickly proved his value as he dropped kills no matter what agent he was playing.

After beating EDG and DRX, EG was dropped to the Lower Final by PRX. They narrowly managed to beat LOUD, setting up a Grand Final revenge match against the Pacific side. EG managed to close out two of the first three maps, going 13-10 on Split and 13-5 on Bind. Even on Ascent, they lost by a narrow margin.

The fourth and final map, Lotus, was a staple for PRX, but EG pulled into the lead and edged out a 3-1 Grand Final win over PRX. In the end, Demon1 was awarded the tournament’s MVP, racking up a +31 kill differential and 79 kills across the series.

EG roster at VALORANT Champions 2023:

  • Kelden “Boostio” Pupello
  • Alexander “jawgemo” Mor
  • Corbin Daniel “C0M” Lee
  • Ethan “Ethan” Arnold
  • Max “Demon1” Mazanov

EDward Gaming (2024)

EDG’s victory in Seoul signaled the rise of China as a global contender in VALORANT. While EDG had dominated the domestic circuit, Chinese teams had not yet been seen as a danger on the global stage. But EDG’s run this year changed this for good.

After defeating PRX and FUT Esports to make it out of Groups, EDG beat Trace, Sentinels, and LEVIATÁN to qualify for the Grand Final—all without dropping to the Lower Bracket. Their opponent in the Finals was Team Heretics, who were coming off a second-place finish at Masters Shanghai.

The Grand Final was a thrilling series. It seemed like Heretics were coming back from 11-4 on map five to 11-9, but a devastating 4K from ZmjjKK on a Guardian destroyed Heretics’ hopes of a comeback. EDG won that series 3-2. In the end, ZmjjKK took the MVP title, posting 26 first bloods, 111 frags, and a +31 kill differential in the Finals

EDG roster at VALORANT Champions 2024:

  • Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang
  • Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi
  • Zhang “Smoggy” Zhao
  • Wang “nobody” Senxu
  • Hsieh “S1Mon” Meng-hsun

Prediction: Paper Rex (2025)

PRX has enjoyed an outstanding year so far, with a domestic trophy at VCT Pacific Stage 2 and an international trophy at Masters Toronto 2025. At VALORANT Champions 2025, they carried that momentum into the Group Stage, opening with a clean 2-0 and only one game away from the Playoffs.

With their current form and chemistry, PRX look ready to take home the trophy. Their resilience in high-pressure maps, clutch comebacks, and effective double-duelist meta all add to their edge, especially with every player performing at their peak.

PRX Masters Toronto Roster:

  • Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza
  • Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie
  • Ilia “something” Petrov
  • Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee
  • Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto
