The much-loved GeoGuessr World Cup comes to its conclusion with the GeoGuessr World Finals 2025. Taking place over two days, starting on August 29, the tournament will feature 16 of the best GeoGuessr players, and fight to be crowned the World Cup winner of the 2025 season.

The world finals will begin on Aug. 29 and conclude the following day, Aug. 30. The 16 best Geoguessr players in the world will battle it out to take the coveted prize, after battling for the last nine months. Winning will allow them to take home the first prize and, overall, the bragging rights for the upcoming year. The Geoguessr World Cup began in November 2024, putting players through nine months of hard work to get to the finals.
There’ll be a total prize pool of $100,000, and the format will consist of 1 v 1 and is played in 10 rounds, with the damage multiplier increasing every round. Game modes will include no move, move, and NMPZ.
But beyond this, attendees to the finals will get the chance to see the Sidemen, Icona Pop, Mapei, and Niki & the Dove, in what’s going to be a celebrity-filled conclusion to the 2025 season, according to the official website.

Sitting first in the world rankings is Radu C with 130 points, so it’s unsurprising they’re a favorite. Radu has a 72% win rate, not the highest compared to the other competitors, but high enough to make them one to watch.
Delving a little deeper into their statistics, with 63.7% of their guesses scoring over 4.5k and an average guess in just 37.5 seconds, Radu C should most definitely be on your radar.
Being the 2024 champion, there’s no doubt that Blinky is one of the favorites again this year. Currently sitting second in the world rankings, just two points behind Radu C, Blinky will look to close that gap in the Grand Final.
He has won 31 matches this season and has a win rate of 85.4%. A huge 67.1% of his guesses have accumulated over 4.5k points, and with an average guess in around 33.1 seconds, making him one of the most accurate guessers in the world.
Szabolcs “Debre” Debre sits third in the world rankings with a total of 124 points. Having won 29 matches this season, making his win rate an impressive 68.2%. He’s a top contender to take home first prize.
Looking closer, with 57.7% of their guesses gaining over 4.5k points, and their average guessing time of around 32.4 seconds, Debre could be a solid contender in the finals.
The tournament itself will be streamed live on GeoGuessr’s YouTube and Twitch channels, from the round of 16 right through to the final.
In 2024, Blinky took the victory at the Geoguessr World Finals, beating mk, 3-2. The total prize pool for the world championship was $100,000, and Blinky took home $20,000 for winning it all.
There were 24 players competing to take the overall crown. The group stage matches were Bo3, whereas the knockouts and the playoffs were Bo5. That year. The finals were held in Stockholm, Sweden, the same as the inaugural event in 2023.
The 2023 tournament had a $50,000 prize pool; a significant increase in 2024 occurred. This year, it had 24 participants representing 21 countries, whereas the 2024 edition had 24 players who qualified throughout the year.
The Geoguessr World Final 2025 is taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, between August 29 and August 30.
