The world finals will begin on Aug. 29 and conclude the following day, Aug. 30. The 16 best Geoguessr players in the world will battle it out to take the coveted prize, after battling for the last nine months. Winning will allow them to take home the first prize and, overall, the bragging rights for the upcoming year. The Geoguessr World Cup began in November 2024, putting players through nine months of hard work to get to the finals.
There’ll be a total prize pool of $100,000, and the format will consist of 1 v 1 and is played in 10 rounds, with the damage multiplier increasing every round. Game modes will include no move, move, and NMPZ.
But beyond this, attendees to the finals will get the chance to see the Sidemen, Icona Pop, Mapei, and Niki & the Dove, in what’s going to be a celebrity-filled conclusion to the 2025 season, according to the official website.
