The StarCraft Dreamhack Masters Summer is going to be the first big global online event for the 2021/2022 Season of the Pro Tour. This is a new DreamHack event, so it sits pretty high up in the hierarchy of StaCraft tournaments. As this one is global, there are loads of players looking to qualify for the final playoffs. Before we get to that point though, we’ve got the regional qualifiers for this event. These are currently about to start. We can expect to see each region’s players whittled down to just the top contenders.

DH SC2 Masters 2021 Summer Regionals – What to Expect

The DH SC2 Masters 2021 Summer regionals are the first events leading into the full playoffs. Each of these is going to decide which regional players will take part in the main event. These tournaments are big themselves though. Each is kicking off in the end half of May. They’re due to conclude in June, just in time for the DH SC2 Masters 2021 Summer.

These events are going to be comprised of 32 or 16 players in groups. The top four players in each eight-person group move into the playoffs. Here they’ll compete in a double-elimination bracket. Since each region is going to have so many players competing, it would be a bit much to give predictions for every single one of these events!

However, this is when each is going to progress:

The finals for the event are then going to be taking place over 1-4^th of July. This will bring the top teams from each of these qualifiers together with the Korean representatives.

There are plenty of spots available this time around for all of the wildcard regions, so we can expect a well rounded diverse cast of players from all across the globe. Each of the regional events is jam packed with players that are your SC2 regulars, so you can expect some intense matchups both domestically and at the main event.

If you’re looking at StarCraft betting then the regional events for the tournament are going to be just as action-packed as the finals. Obviously, there are far too many games to look at all of them in the DH SC2 Masters 2021 Summer. So, we’re just going to be focusing on a few regions here.

Looking at the upcoming games for the European region, Clem, Elazer, Lambo, Hellraiser, and uThermal seem like the ones to move ahead from this group. However, this batch of matches is far from every player’s appearance. That just takes us through the first batch that there are odds for at the moment. Since we’re not sure what teams will even be playing each other in the next stage, it might make more sense to look at individuals. For Europe, Reynor and Clem are really the standout players. They have the track record, and the odds for this event so far reflect that.

Moving over to the North America region, Astrea and Neeb are clear players to watch. They were standouts over the last season, achieving the highest placement for a NA player. However, their chances at the DH SC2 Masters 2021 Summer finals aren’t really going to be ranked that highly! The North America qualifiers are a bit far away to really get into the specific esports odds, but you can probably assume these two will be sat at the top.

Looking over at China, we have a tossup between Cyan, Firefly and Coffe. Finally, Huang “Nice” Yu Xiang and Sheldon “Seither” Barrow are the standouts for HK/TW and Oceania respectively.

If you’re looking at StarCraft betting for the overall event, then you shouldn’t ignore these regional qualifiers. They’re using lesser tested players, which can often mean more entertaining upsets.
