What items to build on Nature’s Prophet
Nature’s Prophet item build should generally be designed to improve his split pushing as well as team fighting potential. As such, he’s also one of the best heroes for rank up in Dota 2.
Here are some of the most efficient items for this hero:
- Phase Boots: this item gives you excellent mobility and 24 bonus damage.
- Magic Wand: gives you good HP regeneration, stats, and will often save your life thanks to the charges it stores.
- Drum of Endurance: gives you good stats, mobility, mana regeneration and is excellent for key fighting and pushing moments.
- Mjolnir: greatly improves your damage output and allows you to push lanes much faster.
- Orchid: this is a very good item if you plan to be with your team during fights or hunt down isolated enemy targets around the map.
- Silver Edge: will help you a lot with split pushing, hunting down enemy heroes and escaping from difficult situations.
- Blink Dagger: gives you excellent mobility and a way to escape certain death in many situations.
- Force Staff: this is an excellent item if you need even more mobility. The HP regeneration and intelligence it offers you are always very valuable.
- Black King Bar: this will often be a necessary item for fighting the enemy team and escaping certain death.
- Scythe of Vyse: allows you to hex a target for 3.5 seconds.
- Desolator: further improves your damage and ability to kill enemy heroes, destroy buildings and push the lanes.

Nature’s Prophet Abilities Explained
Sprout
Allows you to sprout a ring of trees around a unit, trapping it for 3/4/5/6 seconds. Of course, the target can escape by blinking, force staffing, cutting down a tree and so on.
Teleportation
Allows you to teleport anywhere on the map. Has a very short cooldown: 50/40/30/20 seconds. Furthermore, this cooldown is separate from that of Town Portal Scrolls.
Nature’s Call
Turns a small tree area into Treants (each tree turns into one Treant). Can create up to 2/3/4/5 Treants, which are under your direct control and last for 60 seconds.
Wrath of Nature
Creates a damaging wave of energy that bounces around the map, hitting up to 17 targets. Each time a damage is hit, the damage increases by 11%. The base damage is 110/140/170.
This ability can be upgraded by purchasing an Aghanim’s Scepter. This item makes it spawn a Treant out of every unit that dies from its damage or less than 4 seconds afterwards. If a hero gets killed, a much stronger Treant is created, called a Greater Treant.

What Talents to Choose
- +30 movement speed / +30 damage – The damage is always more valuable.
- +4 Treants summoned / + 8 armor – As valuable as the armor may be, the extra 4 Treants make your Nature’s Call ability almost twice as strong. So you should almost always take this option.
- -4s Sprout cooldown / +40 attack speed – Unless you’re playing the hero in a support role, take the attack speed.
- double Treant HP/damage / 0 seconds cooldown on Teleportation – This is a very tough choice to make, as both of these talents are incredibly strong. In general, you should go with the first option. But if it’s more important for you to be able to constantly teleport from one place to another, take the second one.
Skill build Order
When playing Nature’s Prophet, you generally start with a point in Nature’s Call followed by one in either Sprout or Teleportation and then another one in Nature’s Call. At level 7 your skill build should be 1-1-4-1. Afterwards you maximize Teleportation and Sprout in this order, putting points in your ultimate and taking talents whenever you can.
When to pick the hero
Nature’s Prophet can be played in many ways. As a result, he fits quite well in most lineups and can be very effective against a lot of hero compositions in DPC Dota. In particular, he excels at split pushing. So if you need to constantly force the enemy team to defend in order to create space for your carry or midlaner, you should consider picking him.
Dominate the offlane
Nature’s Prophet is a very strong offlaner that can usually find a lot of farm on the map and split push with great efficiency thanks to his abilities. If dividing the enemy team and constantly forcing it to defend is what you need, this hero will be of great value to your lineup.
