Liquid and OG seek to secure Major this week at DreamLeague Season 15
The DreamLeague Season 15 has been a thrilling show, to say the least. With only eight remaining matches, teams are scrambling to make every win count. In any case, the fifth week is a banger to watch, as powerhouses such as OG, Team Secret, Nigma, and Team Liquid, battle it out for their Major slot.
Lets break down two of the most important matches coming into this week, and set our Dota 2 betting lines in order.

Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov
Team Secret vs Team Liquid
Team Secret has faced rough consecutive weeks of losses since the first week of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC 2021). While their losses to Nigma and Alliance were forgivable, their last pain was team OG sweeping the floor with them. As it stands, Team Secret is sharing fifth place with Brame, the underdog team from Lower Division Season 1.
Frankly, the situation may seem dire for the team. A win or two during this week may be enough to land them a convincing spot in the tiebreakers, but if they lose out another that would be it. This is also assuming the other EU rivals have a terrible week on their own. Speaking of rivals, Team Liquid is one fearsome opponent that even Team Secret needs to keep an eye out for.
As far as strategies and drafts go, both rivals have had their fair share of match-ups, so no side is disadvantaged in any aspect. Team Liquid is infamously known for delivering epic comebacks when the odds are against them, while Team Secret relied heavily on anticipated objective-taking and keeping that momentum rolling.
We note that the former International champion, Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan is the stand-in for Samuel “Boxi” Svahn, and perhaps Team Liquid can thank SumaiL for this sudden surge in performance.
Team OG vs Nigma
Team OG debuted at the DreamLeague Season 15 with a revamped team, thanks to Anathan “ana” Pham’s return. Of course, not to discredit team OG, but ana’s Phantom Lancer is the star of the show. While Phantom Lancer is certainly not an unusual carry pick, it’s still ana’s signature hero. Those fountain dives that they pull off in every match is their way of asserting dominance.
Coincidentally, Nigma brought a new addition into their roster, making this a fresh debut since Nigma was founded. The prodigious carry player goes by the name of Igor “iLTW” Filatov and is no stranger among OG players. Being one of team OG’s most reliable stand-ins, iLTW has definitely earned a reputation for adapting to OG’s playstyle.
We have seen Nigma pull off some adventurous stunts with iLTW, primarily since this wunderkind is notoriously known for his aggressive playstyle. Let’s just say Nigma acquiring iLTW for the season is their way of fighting fire with fire.
Between the two, we can expect a real fiesta of a match on our hands.
DreamLeague Season 15 Match Odds and Analysis
On May 13 at 18:00 (CEST), Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and the boys are up against Team Liquid. With a promising run on their back, TL shares the top seed with Alliance. Even so, the Dota 2 odds are still stacked against them when facing Team Secret. Having x2.25 odds against x1.61 for Secret feels disrespectful, considering how well TL performed in DreamLeague Season 15.
Later this weekend, on May 15 at 21:00 (CEST), OG and Nigma conclude the fifth week of DreamLeague. Team OG has a slightly higher odds to win, at x1.74 return against Nigma’s x2.04. Again, it’s a fanatic trend, with ana and Saksa on the playing field, the OG bandwagoners are onboard. Nevertheless, the even odds between the two rivals seemed fair, considering their standing on the scoreboard, both having 3 wins and 2 losses.
As far as predictions go, I would go with Liquid and OG winning their respective matches, and a two-fold bet would net you just shy of a 4x return on your investment.
Keep in mind, these are very crucial games for all these teams. As not only will their match outcome affect themselves, but may actually determine who gets a slot in the tiebreakers. Tiebreakers are inevitable at this point, which is probably great news if you haven’t had enough Dota 2 action.
