Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best fighting games available on every console and PC. It’s a Dragon Ball game that brings hardcore competitive style mechanics to the anime’s games. The titles has a lively cast of characters from across the franchise, but what about playing along with friends? Dragon Ball FighterZ Crossplay would be what lets you play with anyone, on any system. Not every game offers crossly though.
FighterZ crossplay would mean that you could play with people on offer platforms. You can have a tournament with friends across Switch, PS4, and PC! Although crossplay brings up problems with hardware having different strengths, it isn’t always simple. So is Dragon Ball FighterZ crossplay?
Crossplay is where you can play alongside your friends online. If you’re using a PC but your friends are on console, crossplay would allow you to get involved together despite the difference in platform.
FighterZ isn’t just available on PC and some consoles. It’s pretty widely released. It’s even available on Switch at a bit of a different frame rate. With Dragon Ball FighterZ crossplay though, you would be able to have matchups or even tournaments with friends despite the difference in platform.
Dragon Ball FighterZ doesn’t support crossplay. Players are hemmed into their own walled areas. If you’re on PS4, you play on PS4. If you’re Xbox, with people on Xbox. On PC, just on PC. The big events for FighterZ like the World Championship and EVO might be played on one platform, but not everyone is on a unified system.

FighterZ’s seasons of new fighters did a great job in delivering more characters like Broly, and even unconventional picks like Roshi along with many more Gokus. What about quality-of-life changes like adding FighterZ Crossplay though? The game didn’t look like it was making major changes for quite a while. That changed recently though.
In 2022, FighterZ got a new update announced. It was especially focused on giving a better experience on consoles. Next-gen versions of the game were coming, which definitely put FighterZ as one of the best PS5 and PS4 Fighting Games. However, is this going to bring crossplay into the title?
It isn’t part of the immediate plans. FighterZ is getting some quality-of-life updates, but cross-platform play just isn’t on the cards right now. However, with Arc System Works bringing new features to a game most had thought finished, it could possibly happen.
FighterZ most likely won’t be getting crossplay at any time soon, unless something big changes. Although, this Dragon Ball title has sold better than most tie-in titles for the series, which receives yearly games. If FighterZ eventually gets a follow-up, it could include crossplay. We’re stuck with friends on our own platforms right now though.
