MultiVersus Prestige Guide – How to Get it and What it Does
One of the new features in MultiVersus since its left beta has been Prestige Points. This is a new currency in-game, and notably, one you can’t buy with real money. It’s a reward, for buying other cosmetics, but directly it can’t be purchased! It’s also the key to getting some of the coolest items in the game. How do you get prestige in MultiVersus though and how does it work?
MultiVersus has quite a bit of monetization, from its rotation of different free characters to bought skins. However, the MultiVersus prestige system is a really solid way to unlock some of the best items. Although, it isn’t easy to collect. It’s not tied to performance in matches or anything. But there are ways to maximize the amount that you’re going to earn. This is how it all works.

What is MultiVersus Prestige?
Prestige is a new currency in MultiVersus. Like Gleamium, it can be used in different areas of the game. Once you know how to get prestige in MultiVersus, you can head to the Prestige store. There you can exchange prestige for items, including some cool MultiVersus skins.
Since this game has quite heavy monetization, things like prestige could be important for players looking to maximize their value. There are fighters here, banners, and loads of different items. They do cost quite a bit of prestige considering how much you receive though.
How to Get Prestige in MultiVersus
How exactly can you unlock the new prestige points in MultiVersus? You’ll unlock prestige in MultiVersus by getting other cosmetics. It’s a little bonus whenever you obtain an item or cosmetic in the game in general. You can’t buy the prestige points directly. However, as you unlock items in the game, you’ll get some Prestige points dropping too.
It’s kind of odd to get a currency that only really unlocks as you earn cosmetics. Although, it is nice to get a little back as you’re unlocking new looks. There are tons of different skins in the game now. Especially as we get more and more MultiVersus updates. How to get Prestige points in MultiVersus has been the same since they were introduced though.
How Many Prestige Points Do You Get?
The number of points from each cosmetic can vary depending on the style of item. For the most part, the rarer the cosmetics are in terms of in-game rarity the more you’ll get. That’s another way to get prestige in MultiVersus. These are the amounts you’ll get for each item.

What Can You Buy with Prestige?

Once you’ve managed to collect some prestige (and that may take some time), what can you actually buy with these points? The store will be rotating items in and out, it won’t be the same every time you drop by. However, these are some of the items we’ve seen in the store so far:
- Batman Who Laughs Variant – 100,000 prestige
- Announcer Pack Batman Who Laughs – 25,000
- Shazam Ringout – 75,000
- Hahahahahaha Profile Banner
- Burnt Toast Emote
- Beach Bash Harley Quinn – 75,000
- Mad Cause You’re Single Taunt – 22,500
Prestige is a fun addition to the currencies. It always gets a bit more confusing when even more points are added in. Although, it’s always a plus when there’s one that can’t be bought with real-world money. Getting prestige in MultiVersus only comes from limited sources right now.
This could change in the future, like when the MultiVersus season ends. However, for now, this is the only way how to get Prestige points in MultiVersus.
