
Are There MultiVersus Tournaments Yet?
MultiVersus is one of the hottest fighting games of the year, but where can you play at a more competitive level? Any fighting game that develops a following will usually also develop a scene for tournaments. There were quite a few MultiVersus tournaments in the early beta for the game, but what about the wide release? Are there any new MultiVersus tournaments?
We’ll surely start to see the competitive side of the game heat up as we progress further into release. We’re already looking at MultiVersus Ranked coming back soon. What about more MultiVersus tournaments though, where can you catch these and how can you get involved in this side of the game?

MultiVersus Tournaments
Back when MultiVersus tournaments were more common, those held by third partys were the main form. Organizers adding MultiVersus to their fighting game esports events. Since platform fighters like Brawlhalla and Smash have active communities, in some cases with no developer support, MultiVersus slotted in fairly easily too.
If you’re watching for future MultiVersus tournaments, this is the area to keep an eye on. Events like the online Coinbox now feature other games semi-regularly. MultiVersus has already featured in 2024 events like Coinbox 103. There could be more of these in the future too.

Then there are official events. We don’t currently know much about Player First Games’ plans for the title. They might start to roll official support behind some tournaments once the game has found its feet. MultiVersus definitely has the potential to become a bigger fighting game esports title.
MultiVersus tournaments will likely happen on a base level too if the game can grow enough. Locals are a great place to get started. Beyond that, players will have to watch out for larger events that feature most of the major fighters. These could pick up MultiVersus as events. Similar to EVO featuring the game when it first launched.
MultiVersus tournaments will be interesting once they start up. We’ll get to see how the changes to the game have affected it on a competitive level. It’s always fun to see how far the best fighting game players can take games like this, and who they pick as the best MultiVersus characters compared to the wider player base.
