A big tournament is on the horizon, the Crazy Raccoon Cup Street Fighter 6. This is the fifth Crazy Racoon tournament for the game. We’re expecting our normal blend of high-skill pros and more casual players competing in the tensest fighting game. However, organizers have laid out quite a few of the bigger changes coming this time around.

What’s going to be different with the Crazy Raccoon Cup Street Fighter 6? These are the key details that have been released so far and how players can take part.

Crazy Raccoon Cup Street Fighter 6 Preview

The fifth version of the Crazy Raccoon Cup will be starting on Thursday, the 27th of June. The tournament series is already coming back for another round. It’s an event with a fairly unique format for Street Fighter 6 fighting game esports events. It’s played in 5v5, An online tournament with some of Japan’s best upcoming players.

We can expect a healthy mix of streamers in the tournament along with more dedicated Street Fighter 6 pros. It’s an interesting tournament each time it’s held. In the past, it’s been a mix of pros and beginners, but everyone is coming from Masters now. the other major change is a format involving a team captain.

The tournament is beginning with a round robin stage before we move on to the single elimination bracket. They’ve already released the teams we can expect for the Crazy Raccoon Cup Street Fighter 6 tournament.

Some of these players might not be the most recognizable for Western Street Fighter fans, but quite a few have been kicking around for quite a while. The spread of players even includes quite a lot of different Street Fighter 6 characters. There’s room for some surprising players with such a fun spread of fighters.

Hopefully, the Crazy Racoon Cup is a chance to see some players in exciting and unique set-ups. It’s a tournament with a particularly wide field. Plus, with so many big Western events going on at the moment it’s a great chance to see how the Japanese meta is going right now.
