Fortnite Items Not Returning Thanks to Other Modes According to Ali-A

Fortnite cosmetics can be a bit of a tricky area lately. Fans have long enjoyed collecting cosmetics in-game. The title has expanded recently with new games modes coming, which mean every cosmetic is now more than one, with a Lego Style included too. Controversially, some players have decided this means there’s a bit of a mystery behind why certain Fortnite items returning seems to have been blocked. This week, Ali-A has weighed in on the whole thing.

The content creator and Icon skin in the game hasn’t seen his skin return quite as often. The player has said in a stream that this might be down to the Lego mode, that cosmetics that are lacking Lego styles won’t come back to the Fortnite item shop as much. What does this mean and there is any truth to the rumours that Lego is stopping some Fortnite cosmetics returning?

Ali-A says Lego Versions Stopping Fortnite Items Returning

In a recent stream, Ali-A has discussed what’s going on with his icon skin. This skin was first released in Chapter3, Season 2, one of a few Fortnite crossovers in that season. It’s one of the Fortnite streamer skins that comes back fairly often. The emote is a different story though.

Ali-A speaking in a recent YouTube short said:

“My Icon Skin is back in the shop but something is missing… I’ve been sent so many messages from you asking why my emote isn’t in the store whilst all my other cosmetics are. So, I hit up Epic Games and asked them “Where’s my Icon emote?” It hasn’t been seen for over 240 days and honestly the answer shocked me. It turns out there’s a new set of rules that everything in the item shop has to follow, otherwise it can’t be sold as the store now has to support all of Fortnite’s new modes, one of which is the Lego mode which features its own special Lego emotes. Meaning, my little Diplodocus emote needs a Lego version to return.“

That’s what the content creator had to say about it. In the past, fans have noticed similar problems already with random items being missing from returning skin sections and bundles. Is it down to the Lego mode though?

It might be, that seems to be the prevailing rumours online right now. A content creator backing this up might add credence to it. Although, we have had plenty of items back which haven’t been compatible with different modes. We don’t know anything official about this yet, so it’ll be interesting to see if anyone else backs up Ali-A’s claims.
