All Sweat Summer – Fortnite Summer Event 2024
Fortnite’s just had a big update with Magneto coming in, but there’s more to explore with the Fortnite Summer event 2024. Along with some changes to Ranked, we’ve seen the Fortnite Summer event begin. This season, it’s All Sweat Summer! It’s a bit different from past events, but there are the typical free rewards you can grab too. What’s new and how can you unlock everything for the Summer event?
What’s New in the Fortnite Summer Event?
The Fortnite Summer Event 2024 is here, dubbed All Sweat Summer. It’s a bit smaller than in past years, a trend that’s been going on for a while with these events. However, there’s still a decent number of changes.

The main part of All Sweat Summer are special challenges. These are a questline of 20 different challenges. As you complete them, you’ll unlock a handful of free cosmetics. This year there’s a back bling, wrap, and glider up for grabs. All roughly Summer-themed. These aren’t up there with the rarest Fortnite skins, but it’s always good to flesh your locked out just a bit more.
To get the cosmetics, you can take your pick of the quests. These are the rewards on offer and how to get each:
All Sweat Summer Rewards
- Water Levels Wrap – Complete 10 Quests
- Summer Sail Shark Glider – Complete 15 Quests
- Deck Ducky Back Bling – Complete 20 Quests
Those are the rewards. What are the quests you can do to actually unlock them though? They’re quite broad this year in the Fortnite Summer Event 2024. Players have a handful of different ways to get challenges done with stages in increments. Kind of like the milestone quests as opposed to the Weekly quests. These are each of the new quests
- Eliminate Players
- Reach Top 50 in Zero Builds
- Reach Top 50 in Battle Royale
Each of these is repeatable through various tiers. We’re not getting a broad set of quests to go and interact with things. However, these should be a little easier to get complete as you’re just generally playing the game and trying to win Fortnite rather than going to random places to interact with things.
Changes to Ranked

One other part of the update is Ranked. For the Fortnite summer event 2024 Epic is testing something out with Ranked. They’re tied to an All Sweat Summer label, but it feels more like a general test to see if Ranked can have a separate loot pool once again.
During the event, Ranked will be operating with a different ruleset. It’ll run closer to tournaments than to the normal game. These are the big changes
- No Cars
- No Nitro Fists
- No Hireable NPCs
There are still bosses and medallions, but cars and other wacky items are removed. This brings it more in line with Fortnite tournaments. It’s the type of change to the loot pool that players have wanted for quite a while. Hopefully, it’s the type of change that’s here to stay. Letting players actually have a space to practice the version of the game they’ll play in Fortnite esports rather than a ranked mode that plays like pubs.
