A new Fortnite collab is being teased right now, the Don Toliver X Fortnite collaboration! Epic’s Battle Royale frequently crosses over with other areas of pop culture. In recent seasons, that’s gotten wider with Fortnite Festival and other modes bringing more musicians to the game. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been getting more and more teases for an upcoming Don Toliver crossover.
Fortnite has loads of different ways of collaborating with musicians right now. There’s Fortnite Festival, which features one artist every season in its prime spot. We already know next season for that game will be Metallica, with an in-game concert. However, between emotes and songs for Festival there are loads of other ways for artists to get involved too. What can we expect Don Toliver X Fortnite collab?

Recently, we’ve been seeing teasers for an upcoming Don Toliver X Fortnite collab. Fortnite crossovers can be pretty varied in content though, so what exactly are we expecting here? It seems the center point of the collab is going to be a Fortnite Creative map.
These maps, or as they’re sometimes known game modes, are experiences within Fortnite. These can be custom games with really diverse assets and gameplay, through to a walkthrough area where you can wear your Fortnite skins. The teasers for the Fortnite creative map created for this collab does look impressive. It seems to feature quite a few bits of custom art, making use of the newer UnrealFN tech that allows for much more freedom in these maps.
The map shown off uses the motorcycle aesthetic from a recent Don Toliver album, and gameplay seems to be a standard 8v8 gun game. However, the map it’s played in definitely showcases a pretty different feeling Fortnite. The map seems to be going by the name of Hardstone.
The Don Toliver X Fortnite collab will largely be centered around this special map, but when will it be released? We’ve already seen quite a few teasers and are expecting a bit more news in an upcoming livestream. There isn’t a live date for the map just yet though, which is pretty standard for a Fortnite creative update. We can probably expect it to go live sometime around the new album release and livestream, so between June 10-14th. The map could be online within a few hours, if it meets its rumoured date of June 10th.
Outside of the map, we might get an emote featuring a song from the album. This could equally happen at any time though. There aren’t release dates for items in the Fortnite item shop. At the moment, the part of the collab we know about is due to launch within the next few hours though.

That’s what we’re expecting in the Don Toliver X Fortnite collaboration. How long will it be in game though? Since this is a Creative map, it’ll probably be here forever. There isn’t really a reason to delete a Fortnite creative experience so if you’re really enjoying Hardstone you can probably jump in for a long time to come!
