FNCS Major 1 2025 Finals Begin Soon
The FNCS Major 1 2025 is the biggest tournament of Chapter 6 Season 1. As a qualifier for the Global Championship, there’s been a lot to get excited about. We’ve seen some impressive use of the new weapons in Chapter 6 and it’s going to be fun to see it played in an FNCS context. While the format has been extended this year, we’ve reached the Major itself with the Finals for the FNCS Major 1 2025 tournament continuing this weekend.
This year, the FNCS has become a larger event, now covering regular Divisional Cups that give players a different route to secure their slot. However, before we get to the actual finals with its lobbies of the top players, there’s a Play In and a group stage. It’s this round that decides which of the players will make it all the way through. How will it work and what do you need to know about the events taking place this weekend?

FNCS Grand Finals Begin This Weekend
After the Group Stage, we now have the entire roster of players locked in for the FNCS Major 1 2025! This tournament is reaching it’s final stage. Over the weekend, we’ll see the FNCS Grand Finals take place. A tournament over two days, taking place one per competitive region. With two days of action.
The Grand Finals are played in two sessions. It’s 12 games in total, spread out with 6 per day. In each game, players will earn points for an ongoing leaderboard based on their placement and eliminations they manage to rack up. It’s not a complicated format, but it can be tricky to actually nail. Players need to show consistency across the games. Getting one high-kill Victory Royale isn’t enough.
At the end of the event, the winning players will get their slots confirmed for the Global Championship coming at the end of the year. The top 2 in the biggest regions, and top Trio in the other server locations.
FNCS 2025 Major 1 Schedule
We’re getting closer to the finals now, but what does the schedule look like for what’s coming next? There are still a few rounds to go before we reach the actual Major. These are the remaining dates to keep an eye on for the schedule.
- Last Chance Qualifier – 12 February
- Day 1 Finals – 15 February
- Day 2 Finals 16 February
While we’ve seen quite a bit of a change in the actual format so far this year, the finals will be returning to a more standard system. We’ll get two days of games with an ongoing leaderboard, each region playing in a different lobby. It’s mainly the qualification process which has been changed this time.
FNCS Major 1 2025 Play In
The next stage of the NCS Major 1 2025 tournament is the Play In, the stage before our Grand Finals. It’s where we separate things out and cut out the participants. Up until this point, players in all cups had the chance of rising upwards. However, this stage cuts that off. Leaving the top players in each region to compete to go to the group stage.
Players have to make the top 99 slots in Europe along with the America Central region. However, all other servers only get 66 through from the Play In. It’s taking place over just two days, 29-30th of January. However, the first of the group stages continues shortly after, on February 2nd. It’ll be this Play In that cuts of the divisions though, and limits things to the best Fortnite players for our final rosters.
