While we’ve had the new content teased for a few weeks, there’s still plenty of surprises. We’ve got brand new mechanics, a new Battle Pass, whole new set of weapons too. What’s changed with Fortnite Chapter 6 season 2? These are all the alterations so far:
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Patch Notes
New POIs

Source: Epic
C6 S2 has introduced quite a few new POIs, which could be the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.
The one shown off the clearest before the season began is Crime City. A new city with a more urban aesthetic. Compared to Seaport, it’s definitely quite a bit rougher. There’s a good number of spots you’ll want to hit here.

The next new POI is Outlaw Oasis. A resort spa. It’s a spot where the criminals of the city’s new theme are spending their time. Then there’s Lonewolf Lair, a new mansion clearly home to one of the new Battle Pass skins. This one has quite a resemblance to Lavish Lair from Chapter 5.

Next is Shiny Shafts. It’s a gold mine. This is quite similar to the old mines we’ve seen in multiple different Chapters.

Gold
The whole new season is based around stealing gold, which means the older gold mechanic is now a bigger part of the game. Players will be able to find more gold spread all over the map and you can probably make use of the it for the services sold by Fortnite NPCs this season along with the new ways to spend gold.
Gold around the map will now give you a Gold Rush effect. It gives you a speed boost and makes your pickaxe more effective. You get this from Gold water or Gold Veins on the map.
Dill Bits

Along with gold, a whole other mechanic has been added to the game’s currencies. There’s now Dill Bits coins. They are a secondary currency which doesn’t carry over from match to match.

So, there’s more gold and a new currency, but how can you actually spend them? Along with the old ways of buying things, there’s new Black Markets. These are special shops which let you buy Mythic and Legendary items along with Boons.
Armored Cars and Trains

The Train for Chapter 6 Season 2 has been souped up, now having much better defences and a proper reward. There’s also similarly armored vehicles roaming around the maps. These are properly defended by henchmen NPCs.
New Bosses in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2
Bosses and Mythics are an unavoidable new part of Fortnite in Chapter 6. There are a few new medallions for these new bosses. These are the characters and loot you can track down:
- Fletcher Kane – Drops Double Down Pistol, and Unstoppable Medallion which gives you a Nitro like effect.
