One of the biggest tournaments on the horizon right now is the Fortnite Esports World Cup. This event isn’t part of our normal yearly FNCS cycle, but with a prize pool of over a million dollars, there’s a lot to look forward to here. It’s got the size and prestige of Epic’s tournaments. What are the Fortnite Esports World Cup Teams taking part in this event?

The tournament won’t begin in full until August. It’s scheduled for August 8-11th, with a three-day format. Alongside the other Esports World Cup games, Fortnite will be played with a good number of the top players. 16 different teams are taking part, all qualified from different regions.

Just like Fortnite’s main tournaments, the game is bringing in the top talent from around the world for this tournament. The Esports World Cup teams will qualify based on early tournaments, with more regions getting dedicated qualifiers than Epic normally holds. These are all of the teams who have currently qualified for the Fortnite Esports World Cup.

The teams are getting their qualification as they play through an elimination format bracket. Since it’s a bit more long-winded than just one big lobby, it took a little while to learn who qualified in every single region. Factor in the Esports World Cup using more regions than standard Fortnite esports too, and we’ve got quite a few squads.

One interesting thing is that a lot aren’t the names and orgs you’ll recognize from Fortnite. This isn’t really a team and squad game. It’s not uncommon for fans to not really know what org the biggest players are in. A lot of the orgs in this list feel a little… made up. But it does mean players who aren’t part of a giant organized team can still compete in this huge tournament.
