Fortnite Reload is the latest addition to the platform. This is a mode which brings back a lot of Chapter 1 content. However, it’s also got respawns turned on and a much smaller map. All of this means fights are faster, more plentiful, and you won’t always have the best gear. If you want to take the advantage in every fight, there are some Fortnite Reload settings to use for better performance.

Using the right settings in a game can give you a real advantage. You’ll be able to get a better performance out of your PC with the right visual settings. Whether you’re using the best GPU for Fortnite or something a bit older. You’ll be able to get a decent boost by optimizing your settings. These are the main things you should look at to improve your performance.

These are the key areas you’ll want to change to get an advantage in Fortnite Reload:

Video Settings

Display – Fullscreen
Resolution – Your monitor’s resolution
Frame Rate Limit – Unlimited

Graphics

3D Resolution – 100%
View Distance – Epic one of the visual settings it’s important to keep high for performance
Shadows – Off
Anti-Aliasing – Off
Textures – Low
Effects – Low
Post-Processing – Low
V-Sync – Off
Motion Blur – Off
Nvidia Reflex Low Latency – On, where available
Ray Tracing – Off, looks nice but not worth the performance downgrade

Those are the key performance settings. Outside of this, your other main options are keybinds which are really just going to be down to personal preference.

Are there Bigger Differences Between Battle Royale and Reload Settings?

Fortnite Reload settings for high performance are pretty similar to the best Fortnite settings. There’s one major difference you might find in performance, but you don’t really have to change your settings. The smaller island might be less taxing, but you’ll still need the better performance.

Zero Build Differences

If you’re a Reload Zero Build player (a much smaller part of the Fortnite player count, but still a fun mode), then there’s one major change you should make, unbind the button to switch to build mode.
