Fortnite has tons of cool vehicles. Over the years it’s had everything from Rocket League cars to shopping trolleys. What about something with some real firepower though? For a while, we actually had a tank in Fortnite! This vehicle provided ultimate protection, a lot of firepower, and a good way to rotate. It can with a big cannon turret, and secondary spots for squad members to fire at enemies from, and they performed better off-road than most cars. The Tank Spawn locations Fortnite had were pretty sparse though, owing to how strong these weapons were.

Back in Chapter 3, knowing how to win Fortnite could have come down to whether you knew where to find a tank in Fortnite! If you’re curious where the tank in Fortnite spawn points were, or even if there’s any chance of grabbing one in the Chapter 4 map, this is how it worked.

Is There Still a Tank in Fortnite?

There are no more tanks in Fortnite. They were originally added for Chapter 4 Season 2. This was a season themed entirely around war, complete with tanks. They were here to fit that theme and livened things up after Epic removed building. They fit into the entire resistance and war theme of the season.

Tanks were popular with casual players but often derided by those after more traditional Fortnite mechanics. Although, with building gone too for part of this season (before Zero builds became a separate mode) it was far from the most controversial aspect of the season.

If you’re wondering where to find a tank in Fortnite though, you can’t. They haven’t been back since.

Epic does like to bring content back pretty frequently. Although, tanks probably won’t be first on their list. Kind of like the mech, they’re too overpowered and specialist to really show up more than occasionally. Maps would need to be adjusted around having access to such heavy firepower, which is a bit of a big ask.

We probably won’t ever get a tank spawn location in Fortnite again, or at least for anything longer than a few-week revival as the mech has gotten. Out of Fortnite, all seasons have unique content that doesn’t pop back up, and for now, tanks are some of that exclusive content.

Where Were the Tank Spawns?

If you were looking for a tank in Fortnite chapter 3, there were definitive spots where you could find one every game! It was only one season they were here. This was the same season Epic removed building, so even the best Fortnite building tips couldn’t save you from the barrel of a tank. These are the tank spawn locations in Fortnite.

• The Fortress
• Tilted Towers
• Rocky Reels
• Condo Canyon
• Daily Bugle
• Coney Crossroads

These obviously aren’t in the game anymore. The title doesn’t even have most of these POIs anymore since we’ve moved on to Chapter 4 (and Chapter 5 is likely only a season away). In case Epic randomly brings back a long-gone map for some reason though, that’s where you could find the tanks in Fortnite back in Chapter 3!
