We’re gearing up for a new season of Fortnite, we know quite a bit thanks to leaks but some elements have been a mystery so far. One of the biggest is collabs, which we’ve just learned a whole lot more about with the Fortnite x Fallout announcement.
Fortnite collabs with tons of different franchises. There are movies, TV shows, anime, even sportswear. It’s the gaming crossovers that often attract the most attention though. Fortnite crossovers are fast making it resemble Smash Bros, with a playable roster of characters that reads like a gaming hall of fame. What’s coming with Fortnite X Fallout?
At the moment, we’ve mainly just gotten a brief teaser. However, judging from this initial art there are a few different elements we can expect. With the timing of the announcement, it looks like this might be a collab everyone gets to be involved with too, not just an item store skin. This is what we know about the Fortnite Fallout Crossover.
Epic is building up for the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. At the moment, we’re waiting to see what happens with the weekend’s FNCS and a possible live event after that. However, the new season is definitely the most hyped right now. We’ve known for a while it’ll be Armageddon themed, with a lot more sand and desolation on the map. What crossover goes perfectly with that theme?
Epic has announced a Fortnite Fallout crossover. This is going to be a central part of the new season. With the map turning into a wasteland, Fallout characters are going to fit in perfectly. The teaser image shown off by Epic has a few key features to look at.

The first is Power Armor. This will likely be a new skin available in-game. While it would be great to see it as an in-game item, something that entirely blocks out the player character might be a bit much! This is probably the most iconic skin design they could do from Fallout, so this might be our Battle Pass secret skin. Being teased this early it’s likely the collab is part of the Pass, with item shop skins possible for extra skins.
Since we’re getting Fallout, we can also probably expect a Vault Dweller outfit at some point. A character in a Vault Dweller jumpsuit. Fortnite collabs have a long history of turning out to be Jonesy under a mask once you drill into their model, like Batman actually being our looper. That character as a vault dweller would be a fun way to incorporate the series without a character creator.
The Fortnite X Fallout crossover will probably involve cosmetics, but what about in-game items? Until the current Fortnite season ends we won’t know for sure. However, there are tons of different options which would be fun to see. There’s Nuka-Cola, various weapons, and loads of possibilities for tie-ins here. Although Epic incorporating the radiation poisoning mechanic and items might be a bit too grizzly.
We’ve only got the one teaser to go off so far. However, it looks like a Fortnite Fallout crossover will be part of our next Battle Pass. This coming to be a fun few weeks in-game as we discover the rest of the new crossover.
