Compared to other games, the options for Fortnite crosshairs are smaller. You can’t use any official custom crosshair. They don’t offer one. Custom Crosshair Sotware

Custom crosshairs are outside software, which largely is banned in Fortnite. The game has some heavy protections against cheaters and they usually get banned. Custom crosshairs are a little different though. These don’t actually impact how you play the game.

Custom crosshairs essentially work as an overlay. So, you have something else on your screen as well as Fortnite. This isn’t really something you can police. You’d have to go after anyone who passively watches YouTube videos alongside their gameplay too. Custom Crosshairs do seem to provide a bit of an advantage. But since they’re so simple and don’t interact with the game, it’s a bit different. It’s not exactly the same as Fortnite cheaters using aimbots.

Weapons with Specific Sights

If you’re using a custom crosshair in Fortnite, then weapons with first person scopes might cause some problems. Some weapons have built in scopes, like a red dot for ARs. For custom crosshairs in Fortnite, an overlay will sit over the top of the built-in sight.

For most players, the custom crosshair will still be helpful. It’s important to keep in mind you won’t be able to toggle it on or off automatically as you use weapons with their own sights. If you use a specific crosshair, you have that until you turn it back off. So keep it in mind for weapons with their own scopes.
